A lot of this patch is about giving you more control over how you want to play, improving the game feel outside the trading screen, and cleaning up several systems that were creating rough edges.
New Features
Sandbox Settings: A new sandbox setup has been added when starting a new game. You can now tune several core rules before entering the game, including bills, bill amounts, debt pressure, market volatility, player order impact, starting balance, and how much news affects prices. Additionally, you can access the sandbox menu mid-game to adjust many of these settings on the fly.
Sandbox Presets: Presets were added to make setup faster. You can use a ready-made configuration or adjust the values yourself for a more relaxed, stricter, or experimental run.
Steam Cloud: Steam Cloud support is now active. Your save data can now sync through Steam Cloud when supported by your Steam setup. Since I haven't been able to fully test this on a second PC yet, please let me know if you run into any issues with your saves syncing.
Running: The character can now run by holding Shift. This should make moving around the map feel better, especially as more world interactions are added.
Improvements
UI Refresh: Several menus and modals have been updated with a cleaner and more modern look. I plan to keep moving the interface in this direction over time, especially where older screens still feel inconsistent.
Market Balance: Player impact values have been adjusted. Large player actions should now feel better balanced against the market simulation.
Sandbox Flexibility: The game now supports more play styles. If you want a more relaxed simulator, you can reduce pressure from bills and debt. If you want a more market-driven experience, you can reduce or disable news price impact and lean more on the price engine.
Bug Fixes
Margin Liquidation: Opening a 100x margin position could cause immediate liquidation in cases where it should not. This has been fixed.
Because sandbox mode touches many different systems, there may still be edge cases that I could not catch yet. If you notice strange behavior with bills, debt, price movement, starting balance, news impact, or save data after changing sandbox settings, please report it with as much detail as possible.
Thank you for playing and for continuing to send feedback.
