Update 0.4.7 is one of Yondel's largest updates yet. Create a clan with its own identity, publish paintings through the Steam Workshop, expand your equipment with helmets and new weapons, build specialized crafting stations and living spaces, and descend to the newly opened Floor -2.
Armor & Weapons
The armor system now includes six visible body armors: Wooden, Leather, Copper, Iron, Golden, and Silver. Silver is Yondel's finest armor material and sits at the top of the protection ladder.
Added six matching helmets. Helmet and body-armor defense values stack together.
Armor grants clear, flat Physical Defense and Magical Defense points rather than percentage-based protection. Magical Defense also lays groundwork for future threats.
Added four swords: Copper, Iron, Gold, and Silver. Gold delivers the highest raw damage but has low durability, while Silver is the rarest and lasts the longest.
Added trophy equipment crafted from cave-monster drops: the Bat Hat, Rock Beetle Hat, Bat Bat, and Beetle Cleaver.
Weapons now use a faster slash animation, with the character's arm sweeping through the attack.
New Buildings & Materials
Wardrobe: Restyle your character without leaving the world and save up to four named outfits for quick swapping.
Bathroom: Use a working shower with running water, foam, and steam.
WC: Added a curtained toilet stall. The curtain closes while someone is inside.
Stone Cutter: A dedicated stoneworking bench. Gravel and garden flooring recipes are now crafted here.
Artisan Table: A decorative crafting bench for grass and strawberry floors and walls.
Owner's Door: A crown-marked stone-and-iron door that only the host can open or remove in co-op, including in worlds with trusted players.
Painting Stand: Place two stands beside one another and they automatically merge into a wide frame.
Added grass walls, strawberry walls, grass floors, strawberry floors, and three garden-floor styles.
Steam Workshop: Paintings
Create your own painting, publish it to the Steam Workshop, and make it available inside Yondel.
Subscribe to community paintings and display them on standard or wide Painting Stands.
Added ten official Yondel paintings that ship with the update.
The Workshop button is now available from every main menu and from the in-game pause screen.
Players who prefer a vanilla experience can disable Community Paintings in Video Settings, preventing Workshop paintings from downloading.
Clans
Create a custom clan banner using 18 divisions, 21 emblems, 16 colors, and an optional second design layer.
Choose a clan name and a unique 2–4 character tag.
Your animated clan flag appears beside your name in co-op and waves in the wind. Hover over it to view the full clan name.
Supporter Skins DLC
Two optional cosmetic skins—the Developer Skin and Partner Skin—are now available for players who want to support Yondel's continued development.
Select supporter skins in the character creator or change into them at a Wardrobe.
Everyone can see the skins in co-op, even if only the wearer owns the DLC.
The skins include glasses, an accessory not found on the standard character looks.
The DLC is purely cosmetic: it grants no stats or gameplay advantage, and no gameplay content is locked behind it.
Going Deeper
Underground Floor -2 is now open.
Floor -2 is currently the only depth where Iron Ore can be found.
Craft stairs and continue your descent. Existing caves remain unchanged.
Quality of Life
Drag items out of the inventory to drop them. Release with left-click to throw the full stack or right-click to throw one item.
Hold to gather. Keep the action button held on trees, rocks, and plants instead of clicking repeatedly.
Campfires must now be lit. Ignite a placed campfire with a Flint Striker. It burns for one hour by default and up to four hours when fueled, continues burning while you are offline, and is extinguished by water.
Added offensive-language filtering to chat and to world, character, and clan names.
Co-op players can now hear one another taking damage, with the sound becoming quieter over distance.
Improved crop rendering so characters no longer appear to float above plants while walking through farms.
Bug Fixes
Fixed dragging equipped armor onto a full inventory slot destroying that stack and duplicating the armor.
Fixed clicking both mouse buttons in the 3×3 crafting grid deleting the items held by the cursor.
Fixed right-click stack splitting failing on five of the nine crafting slots.
Fixed freshly dropped items being picked up again immediately by the player who dropped them.
Fixed the Blue Cap and Straw Hat recipes, which previously could not be crafted.
Fixed Cave Bat and Rock Beetle hitboxes so attacks from the right connect correctly.
Fixed flying mobs blocking and pushing players. They still chase and attack normally.
Fixed the aiming ring and character hand appearing off-center.
Fixed character eyes looking in the wrong direction when facing left.
Fixed the camera remaining zoomed in after dying while holding the zoom key.
Fixed campfire flames appearing on the wrong underground floor.
Fixed mining progress, furnace smelting, and Saw Table state carrying between floors.
Fixed graves spawning far away from the actual death location.
Fixed tree canopies incorrectly blocking building placement on the tile behind them.
Fixed blank inventory icons for doors, furnaces, and Saw Tables.
Fixed doors refusing to close while the player was standing in the doorway.
Fixed untrusted co-op guests being able to mine floors placed by the host.
Important co-op note: Update 0.4.7 changes how players connect. Everyone in a group must be running version 0.4.7 to play together.
