Hello Everyone!
This week we want to show you some work in progress stuff from our side, where we've been hard at work improving the variety of enemies you'll face when you raid facilities for supplies!
First of all we'll take a look at some of the variations we've designed of the base robot enemy, and then we'll be showing you an all new enemy type, the Spider Drone!
Robot Variations
One of the things we knew when we released the demo was that the current single enemy type simply wouldn't be enough, and that people will want variety when facing the robotic menace. To that end we've been hard at work designing various versions of the base enemy, all of which you'll be able to run into out in the facilities of the Tracklands.
While we're not detailing what they do yet, we thought you'd like this early look at the work we've been doing on the graphical side! As always, everything on EverRail is a work in progress, and there may be changes before or after launch!
Spider Drones
Whilst our lineup of bipedal robot enemies is one thing, we also wanted more variety than the basic form could provide. Enter the Spider Drone! These four legged drones come in a variety of shapes and sizes, all of which are designed to give you a hard time while you scavenge for supplies.
As you can see, some of them are small, but they get VERY big on the larger side! Below you can see some very very early WIP footage of one of the smaller drones when it attacks!
And here you can get an early taste of the terror they'll inspire when you realise they're scuttling after you, desperate to end the threat they think you pose.
And that's all for this week! As always, please do follow our socials and join the Discord for all the latest news about EverRail!
