Hey chefs!

Thank you for all your demo feedback this patch brings new features, a fairer economy, and a bunch of bug fixes. Here's what's new:

📋 Portable Order Tablet!

Your order screen is no longer fixed in place. Pick up the tablet and carry it anywhere in the kitchen! Next to the oven, on the counter, wherever works for you. Keep your orders right where you can see them.

🎮 Steam Co-op Invites

Accept a friend's Steam invite and drop straight into their game. No extra steps.

⏸️ Single-Player Pause

Press ESC to pause while playing solo. It automatically resumes the moment a friend joins.

🐎 Horse Racing Rebalanced

Studying a horse's form now actually pays off. Players who read form and statistics carefully are now roughly twice as likely to pick a winner compared to betting completely at random.
Favorites are easier to identify as successful horses gradually attract more attention and their odds shorten over time, but upsets can still happen.
We've also added a hidden (maybe not so much after writing it here) bad-luck protection system that significantly reduces extremely long losing streaks.
And finally, we fixed a critical bug that was unintentionally weakening every horse behind the scenes.

🏦 Credit Limit Reworked

Your borrowing limit is now tied to your credit score instead of your cash on hand. So your credit no longer collapses when you're low on money it's there when you need it.

Multiplayer

Fixed the "session found but can't join" issue. Joining by code now connects correctly and shows a clear error message if it fails.
Your emotes now broadcast correctly to other players. Use this power responsibly.

Items & Kitchen

Items are no longer afraid of player trays and personal space.
The large trash bin no longer eats your freshly bought ingredients we added a blocker in front of it to save you from those accidental tosses.
Fixed counter collision. Items can no longer be grabbed straight through the top of the counter.
Fixed held items (drinks, trays, pizza) disappearing or jittering when moving quickly.
Items that get stuck in your hand or floating in mid-air are now automatically detected and dropped back to the ground.
Fixed dough vanishing when pressing E in certain cases.

General

Fixed the game crashing instantly on launch (caused by a Steam configuration issue).
Fixed several collision spots that were blocking player movement.
Fixed money resetting after save/load and shop statistics being listed in the wrong order.
Fixed customer name tags floating too high (standing and seated heights are now set separately).

Table numbers are now easier to read from a distance.
Dough, Oil and Sauce Powder containers now show a proper empty look when they run out (contents swap to a depleted mesh at zero).
Improved Sauce Powder VFX.
Added a "Cold Area" decal on the freezer door so it's easier to spot.
Money that appears on the counter now sits on a payment ledger, making payouts clearer and tidier.
Added a new reaction animation based on your end-of-day star rating.
