It's been 4 days since Hell Forge hit Steam! If you're a survivor-genre veteran, you've probably already figured out the core loop. But even so, we figured a guide straight from the devs couldn't hurt — so here we go.
Before we dive into the systems breakdown, two quick things to share!
🆕 New Weapon: "Devil's Grasp"
Once it gets a hold of you, there's no escape.

Evolved Weapon: "Hell's Maw"

Coming next week! (Furiously balancing as we speak...)
🎮 Dev's Recommended Build: The Knockback Build
Fitting the theme of our new weapon, this time we're recommending the Knockback Build! Stack the Priest's innate bonus Knockback stat with focused Knockback upgrades and create your own "absolute zone" — nothing gets in, period. Fair warning though: unlocking the Priest takes some serious effort. (🤫 Hint: survive deep into the late game)

⚒️ Now for the main event... Hell Forge Core System Guide
The "Dwarf's Forge" you encounter early on is pretty straightforward. But later, you'll run into the "Ancient Forge" — and that's where things get interesting.
The Ancient Forge gives you the chance to promote low-tier enhancements to a higher tier!
You can also reroll an entire option into a different one at random — and don't worry, your existing enhancements carry over. Since the Dwarf's Forge and the Ancient Forge have independent price scaling, mixing your usage between both is the way to go.
Keep an eye out for next week's update, and if you've cooked up a creative build, share it with us!
