New Content & Features
New Labyrinth: Drowned Ruins
Deep under the sea lies an old city that was once full of life, but is now completely underwater.
Nakara has turned its broken buildings, temples, and connected waterways into a new labyrinth.
The beautiful coral and fish may catch your attention, but if you are not careful, you may even forget where you came from.
Explore the remains of the Drowned Ruins carefully and find the Magic Rings hidden deep under the sea.
Underwater Exploration & Oxygen
The Drowned Ruins is an underwater labyrinth where you can freely swim and explore.
While underwater, your oxygen will slowly decrease. Swimming faster will use more oxygen.
You can recover oxygen by touching air bubbles that appear from reefs around the labyrinth.
If your oxygen runs out, your Curse will slowly increase. Keep an eye on your oxygen and look for nearby air bubbles while exploring.
Certain magic, equipment, and other effects can also make underwater exploration easier.
New Monster: Sharkin
Sharkin is a shark-like monster that swims around the Drowned Ruins looking for prey.
If she sees you or senses traces of your Curse, she will start following the trail to find you.
Sharkins also throw spears back and forth between each other to confuse their prey, so watch their movements carefully.
New Monster: Okuros
Okuros was once a violent monster, but after being transformed into a female form, her personality became timid and innocent.
The pink Okuros will become scared and move away when you get close. If you keep chasing her, she will spray ink and run away.
However, an Okuros under extreme stress from Nakara's influence will turn red and show her old violent nature and twisted desires.
Don't think you are safe just because she ran away.
The next time you meet her, she will no longer be afraid of you.
Lust System
Taking certain attacks will increase the Lust Gauge.
Each time the gauge becomes full, your Lust Level will increase.
At Level 3, Ernest can no longer control his desire. Lust-related special attacks will cause an instant Game Over, and damage from normal attacks will also increase.
Damage from normal attacks will also increase.
Lust does not go away on its own.
Hold [Hotkey] to fill the Ejaculation Gauge. When Ernest ejaculates, all Lust will be removed.
If you stop before the gauge is full, the Ejaculation Gauge will slowly decrease.
Game Saving
You can now save your game progress while in Subspace.
This feature was also added for content planned for future updates.
When you continue the game, you can enter the portal opened by Victor.
Before entering the portal, you can choose whether to load your previous progress or start again.
If you quit the game or are defeated while inside a labyrinth, your saved progress will be lost.
Please make sure to quit the game while in Subspace.
Gamepad Support & Rumble
You can now use a gamepad to control both gameplay and menus more easily.
Gamepad rumble has also been added.
Rumble can be turned on or off in the options menu. For now, it reacts to earthquake effects in the game.
In future updates, rumble will also be added to combat and other gameplay situations.
UI & Visuals
When the compass points to a Ring, the Ring will now be highlighted, making it easier to find.
Visibility while time is stopped has been improved. Enemies and Rings will now be highlighted, and the highlighting system works more accurately than before.
Screen shake while moving has been reduced. A new option has been added to turn screen shake while moving on or off. It is On by default.
The screen flash that appears when picking up an item will now only appear around the edges of the screen. This makes the screen easier to see and reduces eye strain.
When you get the Magical Disturbance buff, its effect will now appear above monster summoning circles.
The graphics for glowing Rings in Lunatic Night have been changed.
Motion Blur, Ambient Light, and Depth of Field have been added to the graphics options.
Ernest's head size and overall body proportions have been adjusted in some cutscene illustrations. This fixes cases where his proportions looked different from other illustrations and makes the artwork more consistent.
A loading image has been added when starting the game.
Buff Ring descriptions have been improved. The English and Japanese descriptions have been updated to make each buff’s effects clearer and easier to understand.
Gameplay & Balance
Ring Bullet has been buffed. Ring Bullet now deals more damage, making it much more useful for cutting Nakara's tentacles. It can also purify monsters like Nakara's servants in one hit instead of needing to defeat them twice.
After using Ring Bullet, the cooldown for Ring Grab has been reduced from 15 seconds -> 5 seconds.
Players affected by Kitsune's Hypnotize attack will now move toward Kitsune more naturally.
Exchanger has been buffed. Ring absorption per level has been increased from 1 -> 10.
The "Magnet" Ring Snap has been improved and can now pull Rings more effectively.
Performance & Optimization
Overall game performance has been improved.
Previously, Nakara's stages were made as several rooms inside one large stage.
However, as more stages are added, this could put too much load on the player's system.
Because of this, each stage is now separated and loaded independently.
This greatly improves the overall framerate.
In our development test environment, we saw an improvement of around 100 FPS compared to the previous version.
With the game now using fewer system resources, we will also be able to improve the quality of each stage in future updates.
Language Support
Chinese translation has been added.
A huge thank you to 牢鹿2sd for the translation!
