Steam has confirmed ORION F2P. They'd prefer to wait for the games birthday event, Version 1.6/Orion's Birthday/PvP Module.
This extra time will permit us more time to not only add more items and content for users, but to also offer an even cooler reward than what was initially announced. Instead of just a Helmet, all Premium Buyers will be rewarded an entire set of Armor. In addition we will grant Premium Owners 10,000,000 Ion.
We also plan to use this time to increase optimization even further than what we've done with Version 1.5.5 as well as do more tests with Servers to do whatever we can to ensure they're great right out of the gate.
We want people to see, play and experience what we are so passionate about with absolutely no risk at all. We invite you to come enjoy everything we are building and regularly adding to the game and encourage you to submit your own feedback and things you'd like to see as we are a developer that regularly interacts and integrates our community.
Premium Owners ($0.01 and above buyers, premium gifted) will receive a custom set of Armor in Version 1.6, scheduled for release in August 2016.
Nothing about the game is subject to change at this point with this shift. However it is Early Access, this is experimental and we are going to analyze everything going forward over the next few days/weeks and go from there.
