🚨 THE ROACH HOTEL — CHAPTER 1 MEGA PATCH IS HERE! 🚨
Hey everyone! The MEGA PATCH for Chapter 1 is officially DONE!
This is a huge update packed with bug fixes, gameplay improvements, new models, improved AI, new animations, cutscenes, controller support, and even a hidden Easter Egg!
🔧 FIXES, CHANGES & NEW CONTENT
GravityPal has a brand-new model and updated look.
Little Roaches are now easier to kill and will wander around instead of constantly chasing the player.
Lighting has been completely redone throughout the game.
Power Cubes can now fit through doorways much easier.
Fixed the invisible wall inside the vent after sending the Blue Power Cube through.
Big Frankie / Subject 2112 has a terrifying new look.
The intro VHS tape when pressing NEW GAME is no longer ridiculously loud.
Fixed a soft lock in the Cube Puzzle.
Fixed issues when climbing the ladder in the Storage Bunker.
Big Frankie has improved AI, making him smarter and much more terrifying.
The Big Frankie chase sequence has been improved and is much less frustrating.
The Flashlight has a brand-new model.
The "You Are an Idiot" song has been removed from the game.
The Daisy Bell tape now has a new and much more disturbing sound.
Fixed the player being able to continue walking during cutscenes.
VHS tapes and TVs have received new models and visuals.
Fixed several bugs with the hiding system.
Added new animations and cutscenes throughout Chapter 1.
🎮 FULL KEYBOARD & CONTROLLER SUPPORT!
The Roach Hotel can now be played with either keyboard & mouse or a controller!
🪳 SECRET EASTER EGG
There are now 3 hidden objects scattered throughout Chapter 1. Find all three and you'll unlock a secret Easter Egg!
SECRET #1 — The Elevator
After interacting with the note at the elevator, head back to your room and enter the bathroom. Look to your left and you'll find a secret button.
Press it, then return to the elevator. Your first secret object will be waiting for you.
SECRET #2 — Main Lobby Restroom
After collecting all the Power Cubes and completing the Cube Puzzle, head to the restroom in the Main Lobby Lounge.
Enter the men's bathroom. The first toilet stall should now be open, and inside you'll find the second secret object.
SECRET #3 — Before the Big Frankie Chase
After pulling all the levers required to open the door before the Big Frankie chase sequence, head back to the area where you last hid from him.
Look on top of the drawer to find the third and final secret object.
🔒 WHERE'S THE EASTER EGG?
After outrunning Big Frankie / Subject 2112, DO NOT pull the lever that opens the floor.
Instead, try opening the nearby secret door.
If you've collected all 3 secret objects, the door will unlock and you'll be able to discover the Easter Egg.
If you missed even one...
The door stays locked. 👀
