UPDATE 2026.9.9
Hover Point Rebuilt from the Ground Up!
We have completely rebuilt Hover Point from scratch with cleaner architecture and far superior implementation.
Massive Performance Boost: This overhaul was built to dramatically improve FPS, making the game far smoother. Especially for players on low-end PCs!
A Fresh Foundation: Because the game was rebuilt, some previously implemented features are temporarily absent. Don't worry! We will be reimplementing them bit by bit in upcoming patches, now on a much cleaner codebase!
New Core Gameplay Mechanic: Merging!
Entities in the arena no longer just crowd the screen, now they collide and combine!
Enemy Merging: When enemies bump into each other, they merge into a single, far more powerful target. The more enemies that fuse together, the deadlier they become!
Projectile Merging: Both your weapons and enemy attacks can collide and merge. Multiple bullets fusing into one will turn into a single, high-output mega-projectile!
XP Orb Merging: No more chasing down dozens of tiny gems! XP orbs now fuse together on impact so you can grab a massive batch of collective experience in a single pickup.
Magnetized XP: To make levelling up feel even smoother, XP orbs now slowly drift toward the player automatically.
Unified Master Leaderboard
No More Monthly Resets: We realized our player base is currently best suited for a single, unified ranking system rather than monthly wipes.
Scores Preserved: Don't panic! Your hard-earned previous scores are completely safe! All historical scores have been aggregated into one single, permanent master leaderboard for ultimate bragging rights.
