The first quail batch is now live!
The first new batch of quails is out! Adding 26 new quails, with the total now above 50!
Additions:
Added 26 new quails, a few of each to every quality
Introduced the Legendary quality, which as of now has 2 quails
Added the legendary egg, which of course is rare than the epic one
Added a symbol on the inventory for eggs and quails that have mutations
Added to the description of eggs and quails what mutations they're affected by
Added a backup system, if anything ever happens to your save you will find backups in C:\\Users\\\\AppData\\LocalLow\\Quail Dev\\Quail Game\\Backups , These are not uploaded to Steam's cloud!
The quail log now fits 5 entries per row instead of 3, to accomodate all of the new quails
Fixed:
The sell price of quails on the detailed view on the inventory was showing the wrong value ( but still sold for the correct one )
Buying Egg Slots or Quail Slots upgrades would not refresh the counter on the bottom right
The tooltip's background was getting ignored over the desktop because it was the wrong color
The volcano backdrop in the Volcano background would sometimes render over quails
Changes you won't notice but help development:
- Changed how the quail prefabs are handled, now being variants instead of being an original prefab each, so needing to change something on the base quail is no longer a pain
- Changed how quails and eggs are defined in the code, now sharing an interface instead of being two separate classes, this may lead to bugs but I'm crossing fingers
What's next?
- Shiny quails; each quail will have a 1% chance on spawn to be a shiny version of itself, which will have particles and/or special visual effects and different colors to it's normal version!
- UI Refinement; some of the game's UI could use a little polish
- More!
