Sorry for the limited updates, I have been caught up in mandatory military service business for these few months with little time to use for developing. Even these patch notes are written in a hurry. Anyway, here is an update drop that overhauls the entire game and unlocks its true potential, saving Ships, and carrier-type weapons.
Saving Ships and placing them in Carriers:
-Added the ability to save and load your Ships as long as you have the required materials to do so.
-Added the ability to place those ships in Carrier-type weapons to summon them in battle.
-Added a ton of bugs and ways to break the game I haven't found yet.
-Added the ability of me to add pictures to update announcements
-The Maximum size or number of the ship(s) that can be placed in the Carriers depend on the carrier's size and type.
-Summoned Ships inherit your ship's item stats.
-Summoned Ships can be commanded to leave the Carrier by firing the Carrier Weapon, and will return to the Carrier to be docked if you disable the Carrier's weapon group.(docked ships regenerate health rapidly)
-Added the ability to target Enemies or Allies with Right click. Targeted enemies will be targeted by ally Ships, guided missiles and will be a priority target for automated weapons. For now there is no ability to command singular ships.
-Ships on carriers can have their AI type and battle range changed.(battle range affects the distance which the ship will keep from its target and it also affects how close the ship needs to be in order to start firing)
-Carrier Fighters can have 3 different AI types, normal, aggressive and fighter. Normal will stay a certain distance away while shooting and dodging, aggressive will attempt to ram its target, and fighter will rush the enemy while firing, and will retreat once it gets close.
-Carriers cost a small amount of materials plus the cost of the ship(s) that is/are placed in them.
-The default fighter(s) on a carrier do not require any extra items, however, custom fighters will require all the items they are made of.
General Changes:
-The ships' angular momentum is now added to the projectile's speed. This is usually a very small amount of projectile speed, but it does help a bit in firing while strafing around enemies.(yay! I can now become a trebuchet)
-In each Stage, only a few specific enemies will be able to spawn for the entire level instead of every possible enemy at that power level. This will help greatly in making each stage unique. If you are lucky/unlucky enough, you might even get a stage where only one type of enemy appears.
-The same boss will no longer appear more than once unless all other possible bosses have already appeared.
-Power Burst Mode no longer makes weapons in weapon group 7 and 8 (anti missile weapons) change to manual mode.
-Changed ship impact calculations to favor large Ships more. Also, the attacking (faster) ship will now deal more and take less damage from ship collisions.
Balance Changes:
-There is now a 20% change that an incoming enemy wave will be increased by x1.5, a 5% change that it will be increased by x2 and a 1% change that it will be increased by x3. These odds can stack, so in the 1 in 10000 chance that all 3 hit, you would get a x9 wave but what are the odds of that happening? So it's fine.
-Upgrade item drop rate was increased by 20% in order to make up for the previous spike in difficulty.
-Bomb Launcher now launches 1 large bomb instead of 3 small ones, since one of them would usually explode and destroy the rest.
-Impact Missile Launcher damage slightly decreased.
-Some other stuff I forgot about I've been working on this update for 5 and a half months so I definitely forgot something
