🚀 Open Playtest + Enemy Rarities Are Here!
The Astro Company Playtest is now open to everyone!
No invitation is required anymore — you can join the Playtest directly from the Steam page.
This update also introduces a new system that makes later waves more varied and dangerous.
☄️ New Enemy Rarity System
Enemies can now spawn in different rarities:
Common
Uncommon
Rare
Legendary
Higher-rarity enemies are significantly more dangerous and scale beyond their standard variants.
Their visual scale also changes with rarity, making powerful enemies easier to recognize in the middle of large waves.
As the run progresses, stronger enemy variants become another threat you'll need to prepare your defenses for.

Improved disconnected path detection
Improved path intersection detection
Fixed tower range visuals not matching their actual range
Fixed Tesla Tower occasionally chaining to incorrect targets
Fixed asteroids spawning too close to enemy spawners
Fixed tower outline remaining after construction
Fixed Processing Unit placement visuals and rotation
Fixed some buttons ignoring the SFX volume setting
Fixed construction information remaining visible after a tower was completed
Added clearer feedback when trying to build without enough resources
Improved Booster Pad visuals and reduced their size
Increased maximum camera zoom distance

Increased build time for several towers
Reduced Sniper Tower range
Reduced Missile Launcher range
Reduced Gatling Gun range
Reduced Missile Launcher projectile speed
