The Roaring Twenties are calling it's time for you to answer as a cunning, ruthless mob boss in Speakeasy.
This thrilling borough control game takes you to the heart of Prohibition-era Manhattan where you'll build your empire, make deals, and fight for control of the city's lucrative underground liquor trade.
Think you've got what it takes?
Welcome to Prohibition-era Manhattan
The year is 1921. The United States is dry, but in Manhattan, the booze is flowing – if you know where to look. Behind closed doors, hidden from the prying eyes of law enforcement, speakeasies thrive.
As one of the most notorious mob bosses in the city, you have big plans for your operation.
What is your mission?
Dominate the underground liquor business, expand your influence across the city, and earn the respect of none other than Lucky Luciano, the kingpin who controls Manhattan’s entire organized crime network.
But success won’t come easy.
Every move you make is risky, and every rival gangster is vying for the same power.
In Speakeasy, you’ll need more than brute force to prevail – you’ll need subtle strategy, smooth negotiations, and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
Build Your Empire, One Speakeasy at a Time
In Speakeasy, you’re more than just a gangster – you’re the boss of a growing criminal enterprise.
The game combines worker placement, map management, and territory control mechanics to create a deep strategic experience where every decision matters.
Whether you’re opening new Speakeasies, upgrading your operations into swanky nightclubs and casinos, or strategically taking over rival territories, you’ll always be working toward one goal: to become the most powerful mob boss in Manhattan.
Your journey begins with a small speakeasy tucked away in one of Manhattan’s many neighborhoods. From there, you’ll expand – setting up more operations, producing and distributing illegal alcohol, and making strategic upgrades that will help you grow your wealth and influence.
You’ll have to manage your resources carefully to ensure you have enough booze to keep your customers happy and enough thugs to protect your territory.
Play Smart or Play Dirty – The Choice is Yours!
Speakeasy offers you endless possibilities to build your empire
Will you play fair, stay under the radar, and quietly outsmart your opponents?
Or will you take a more aggressive approach, raiding rival gangsters, robbing rumrunners, and striking fear into the hearts of your enemies?
You will need to hire thugs to help protect your bars and do your dirty work. These loyal soldiers can be strategically placed to protect your buildings, or used to raid your competitors' operations, stealing their valuable resources and weakening their position.
But be careful - the attacks do not go unnoticed, and there is always the possibility of revenge.
Do you have what it takes to hold your ground?
Build Alliances, But Trust No One
In Speakeasy, you're not alone.
Rival mob bosses, each with their own ambitions, fight for control of Manhattan's boroughs.
Sometimes, a strategic alliance can be your ticket to success, allowing you to take down a more powerful rival or expand into a lucrative new area.
But trust is a rare commodity in the criminal underworld, and alliances can quickly turn sour.
Be prepared to betray your allies when the time comes, and make sure you're not double-crossed.
Outsmart the Law and Lucky Luciano
As your empire grows, so will your reputation.
But be careful – success attracts attention.
The cops are always on the lookout for illegal liquor operations, and the more you expand, the more likely you are to fall under their radar.
You’ll need to bribe law enforcement to keep your operations running smoothly, but even then, one wrong move could destroy your entire empire.
And it’s not just the law you have to worry about.
Lucky Luciano, the mob boss who controls all of Manhattan, is keeping a close eye on you.
He expects his share of the profits, and if you fail, you could be in big trouble.
Keeping Luciano happy is crucial to your survival – disappoint him, and he won’t hesitate to send his goons to stop you.
Rise to the Top or Fall to the Bottom
In the cutthroat world of Prohibition-era Manhattan, there’s only one path to victory: money and power.
As you navigate the dangerous streets of the city, your ultimate goal is to amass more wealth than any of your rivals.
