Greetings y'all!
We're deep into July and I thought it'd be a good time to share some news about the game and what I've been up to lately.
Simplified Chinese localization
It's shaping up quite nicely! I've had the game's text translated and I spent these last few days editing the cards and board with, as you can see below.
Now all that remains is to send the localizer a test build to make sure everything is displayed as intended in game.
Changes and fixes
Pushing the Chinese localization update in August (let's call it 1.0.5) will also be a good occasion to fix a few things based on some of the feedback I got. Typos and bugs, obviously, but also:
Better and cleaner UI to see and select the Items currently in hand
Tweaking the event system to make sure some things like the Heir or the Relics, with questlines (and achievements) tied to them appear more often after your first encounter.
Some sort of progression system to unlock a Fast Mode (minimal text), Endless Mode (game doesn't end at 300) or even a Custom Mode (settings your own values, removing cards you don't want, etc) based on the % of achievements completed.
A sub menu in the Collection screen to see the list of achievements in game
Improved "game feel" with more sound effects
Adding a toggle at the start for F/M, M/M and F/F interactions. The F/F and M/M content itself won't be added until 1.1, but this way new players will know these things are coming soon.
And that last point is a perfect transition to my next part...
What about the new content?
OK so all the things above are changes or addition to the existing systems, but when will the game get actual new content?
Well, probably sometime near the end of the year. Pululon is still on the new sex scenes, currently finishing the Kobolds stuff before moving on to the last three.
As for Michelle and Elz (respectively handling the Items and the Events), they're currently drawing assets for my other project (a fangame based on a "critically-acclaimed MMO" which, understandably, can't be linked on Steam)
Now, they won't be busy much longer and I intend to commission them both once 1.0.5 releases and I have a more definitive list of new events and items. I do have some ideas (haven't done anything with ghosts or dragons yet!) so I hope they'll be worth the wait.
See ya soon!
