Hello, Factory Managers!
We’ve applied a patch that adds new features and adjusts game balance, so here’s a breakdown of the changes!
Enhancements to the “Mammon” Sponsor
We’ve emphasized the sponsor’s unique trait of “repaying debt through off-board tactics” and added various options that can lead to victory.
Due to penalties from criminal contracts and low contributions to production, this sponsor had limited influence in the mid-game and beyond. However, these shortcomings have been largely addressed, making him a much more enjoyable character to play.
Mammon’s New Strategy: “Rapid Order Updates”
It is now possible to secure a large volume of orders through consecutive sales calls.
We’ve focused on collecting cash from orders via “Bribery” to enable a new tactical approach. However, Mammon himself hasn’t given any thought to how to process the orders he receives. You’ll likely need help from other sponsors.
New Common Contract: “Nonstop Calls”
Increases order refresh speed by 10x for 60 seconds after the contract is activated.
Since the normal refresh rate is 120 seconds, this contract results in 5 order refreshes occurring once every 12 seconds.
New Rare Contract: “Smuggling”
Every 60 seconds, gain “Bribery” (cash +1 per completed order) equal to the number of lands owned × 10
This contract compensates for the scaling elements that Mammon lacked.
It will likely demonstrate its true value when combined with the “Nonstop Calls” contract.
New Epic Contract: “Customer Support Center”
Replaces the fourth slot in all future contract offers with the “Nonstop Calls” contract.
This contract functions as a combo piece or finisher once sufficient resources have been accumulated.
Encouraging Criminal Activity
Contract “Land Swindler”
Criminal Record Penalty (Cash consumption on subsequent land purchases) -> Removed
Added effect: “Land purchase price x 10”
Contract “Adulterated Plated Goods”
Cash penalty for items -> Removed
Item Valuable Increase x2 -> x4
Players had been mentally excluding these contracts from their options due to concerns about risk, so we are experimentally removing all such risks to make them easier to select.
Strengthening Mass Land Purchase and Valuable Item Acquisition Strategies
We are implementing adjustments aimed at lowering the difficulty of mid-game play, where resources are scarce and land is hard to purchase.
Adjustment to the “Subleasing” Contract
We are adjusting this contract to increase its immediacy, allowing players to bridge the mid-game by repaying debts.
Cash Earned: Number of available plots x 1 -> x 5
Duration: 300 seconds -> 60 seconds
Contract “Deed Theft” Adjustment
We are adjusting the rarity to make it easier to pick up during the early game when resources are scarce.
Rarity: Rare -> Uncommon
Contract Pool Reorganization
Due to the increase in the number of contracts, we are reorganizing existing contracts to correct imbalances in the pool.
Removal of Contracts No Longer Fitting Their Role
Epic Contract “Counterfeit Currency” (Cinnabar -> Added coin crafting recipe)
Contract Consolidation
Removed: Common Contract “Redefining ‘1 Meter’” (Raven's transport distance x 2)
Removed: Common Contract “Redefining ‘1 Meter’” (Raven's work speed x 2)
New: Common Contract “Redefining ‘1’” (Raven's transport distance x 2, Raven's work speed x 2)
Other Fixes
Contracts and portals for obtaining familiars managed by the sponsor “Gehenna” have been restored
Adjusted the order lineup
Overall, the chances of obtaining familiars have increased, and the game pace from the early to mid-game should have improved slightly.
(Please look forward to fundamental improvements, such as the implementation of progression and carry-over elements through repeated play.)
On the other hand, the amount of cash earned from orders has been reduced, and the prices of powerful buffs and relics have increased, so you’ll need to carefully consider your line-up and contract selection strategy more than ever before.
In addition, we’ve applied minor changes to the UI and text.
Bug Fixes
Familiar type order was corrupted upon obtaining the “Fake Employee ID”
Splitters were not recognized as equipment and were being treated as targets for familiar conversion contracts
We’re now halfway through the playtest period.
Please continue to enjoy Lazy Witch's Factory until the very last day!
