Hi everyone!
Thanks so much for supporting Chesscape Room early. This update brings a lot of new stuff and lays the groundwork for the final big updates needed to do the full release. After this one, the next update will bring online versus and the final one will provide the final content. After that quality of life updates and AI improvements will be the main focus.
Please note that this patch brings user-generated content, but there may be wipes or incompatibilities that occur before the full release. Of course local data will not be wiped, but any boards or campaigns you publish may be removed before release.
Patch notes
The campaign creator has been added. It allows creating blocks of procedural boards and manual boards, or just one or the other. Campaign creation is rate-limited, you can upload one a day. Player campaigns appear under the community tab in the campaign menu.
Board Publishing has been added. A board ends up in the single board mode. As with all boards, you can mark one side as escapee or both, and boards can be marked as puzzles. A chesscape room puzzle is much like classic chess puzzles, only instead of checkmate, you're close to escape with very few correct moves. Boards appear under the community tab in the boards menu.
Board previews have been added when loading them, adding them to campaigns, and in the single board mode menu.
The AI of the bot has been improved. Please report your experiences.
Lots of quality of life adjustments: board rotation reset on switch to 2D mode., camera smoothing, issues with the board tilt being slightly off when switching, lighting adjustments when switching styles, etc.
