Hello, hunters!
It`s been a while since our last post in the BULT Steam Community Hub. Thanks to
everyone who has kept playing, sharing feedback, and following the game`s
development.
We`ll be posting here regularly again. We`ll share development updates, answer your
questions, and show how BULT is taking shape during Early Access.
Our main focus right now is the hunting dog system.
We`re building the dog to be a real hunting companion, not a button that
automatically finds every downed bird. It will help you search for ducks, especially in
dense grass and other difficult spots, but how well it does will depend on the
conditions, the scent it can pick up, the dog`s memory, and your actions in the field.
We`re also working out how training and commands will function, and how the dog
will fit into the rest of BULT`s hunting mechanics. The dog should make hunting more
interesting without taking the decisions out of your hands. You`ll still need to watch
the area, wait, read the situation, and decide what to do next.
In the next post, we`ll take a closer look at:
how the dog will search for downed birds;
how commands and training will work;
what happens if the dog gets hurt;
how the dog will tie into the economy and progression;
what equipment and care it will need.
What would you most like to know about the hunting dog?
Leave your questions in the comments. We`ll use them for the next developer Q&A.
Thanks for sticking with BULT.
See you out in the field!
