This is a Slog Report, an end-of-the-month progress report to assure you that development is still enslaving me.
The report:
Several different assets are still being worked on, but there is still nothing worth showcasing. Work for this month has mostly been dedicated to the new areas, particularly the desert area and a recently worked-on area, which will be the mountains summit. For this report, I might as well include a summary of what to expect on the 2 new areas.
The desert:
It's generally going to be larger and more spacious compared to the early, previous areas. Expect enemies to be much more aggressive and stronger here. The level will also have some minor stage hazards, but it is still overall a combat grounds with minor platforming.
The summit:
I plan to add more verticality in this portion, along with an abundance of rising slopes. Prior to this area, the game had little to no vertical areas. Especially since the character movement is superior horizontally, it will prove to be a challenge to make this area engaging. Nevertheless, the enemies in this area will not hold back, and I do hope players will have fun fighting the later enemies in general.
End of report. As per usual, thank you for being patient with me, and I hope you will continue to do so~
