The updated Steel Ark Demo goes live on August 25!
We’ve been working on this update for quite a while, and it brings a lot more than just automation. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll find in the new version:
Automation
Build your own production lines with drills, underground conveyors, splitters, refineries, and assemblers.
Extract resources, move them around your facility, process them into new materials, and automate the production of the components you need.
You are free to build however you like:
A Bigger World
The map has received a massive expansion.
Once you cross the bridge, the train enters a much larger, more open area. With a buggy at your disposal, you can finally venture further away from the train and explore the surrounding world.
More Ways to Defend Yourself
You don’t have to defend your base alone! We’ve added turrets to help you secure your factories, resource deposits, and other important areas.
Where you place them is entirely up to you.
And yes, your train itself has grown too! You can now have more train cars to work with.
And, of course, a lot of fixes.
We’ve spent a considerable amount of time fixing bugs, improving stability, and polishing existing systems throughout the demo.
We hope you’ll enjoy what we’ve been building.
And one more thing…
Remember that boat project we mentioned?
More on that very soon.
