Dear Conductors,
Daily space mining management just got easier! This update adds destroyed rocket recycling, turning retired rockets into iron ingots for future construction. Space transport also receives several improvements: switch to another landing pad to send more cargo while a shipment is underway, see landing and unloading states more clearly, and use the same item controls and custom key bindings in Space Storage as in ordinary containers.
Meanwhile, the armor system has updated displays and damage reduction rules, making equipment protection easier to understand. For building, Half-Height Sloped Roofs gain matching pieces, the iron sloped door becomes an extended roller shutter, and pillar placement, zipline post rotation, and glass wall connections are improved.
We have also refined the Expansion Rocket's appearance, improved machete animations, and adjusted paint uses, fireplace burning, and cooking ingredient preservation.
Here are the full update notes.
β»οΈ Destroyed rocket recycling added
Destroyed rockets can now be recycled!
A Recycle button has been added to the rocket list. Each destroyed rocket yields 10 iron ingots, deposited directly into Space Storage.
After successful recycling, the rocket disappears from the list.
If Space Storage lacks room, the rocket is kept.
Free up enough space, then try recycling again.
Check for destroyed rockets when managing your mining fleet and put their materials toward future construction.
πΊ Matching sloped triangular pieces for Half-Height Sloped Roofs
Half-Height Sloped Roofs now have matching sloped triangular variants, offering more roof-building options.
The new variants are available in:
Wood
Stone
Iron
Combine them with existing Half-Height Sloped Roofs to finish edges and corners and complete roofs across different layouts.
π‘οΈ Armor system update: clearer display and stacking protection
Armor displays and damage reduction rules have been adjusted to make your equipment's protection easier to understand.
π° Improved armor value display
A shield icon has been added, with the following shown above the armor bar on the right:
Current armor / Maximum armor
Values use 1 decimal place, making remaining armor easier to track after taking a hit.
π§₯ Armor from multiple equipment pieces stacks
When you wear several armor-providing items, their armor values are added together.
For example:
A hide top provides 30 armor.
Hide trousers provide 20 armor.
Wearing both gives 50 total armor.
βοΈ Sufficient armor reduces attack damage by 90%
With enough armor, 90% of attack damage is prevented, though your character still takes a small amount of damage.
Armor consumed equals one quarter of the damage prevented by that hit.
β€οΈ With insufficient armor, remaining damage is taken from health
If remaining armor cannot cover the attack, unblocked damage reduces health. Once armor runs out, it can no longer protect you.
π Example hit
With 50.0 / 50.0 armor, taking a normal attack dealing 50 damage results in:
Health decreases by 5 points.
The armor display changes to 38.8 / 50.0.
Check your equipment and remaining armor before setting out to better prepare for battles along the way.
π Expansion Rocket appearance refined
The Expansion Rocket's appearance has been further refined to make its components clearer and more complete.
Details improved in this update:
Hatch
Latches
Cargo box
Support legs
Thruster nozzles
Metal and painted surfaces have also been refined, distant visuals improved, and the corresponding item icon updated.
π Charging Backpack display image updated
The Charging Backpack's display image has been refreshed while retaining its black industrial appearance.
Materials, lighting, and details have been improved so the item's structure is clearer and easier to recognize.
π Star Chart Table unfolding and folding animations fixed
Fixed animations failing to play correctly when interacting with the Star Chart Table.
Using the table now plays the tabletop unfolding animation before opening the star chart interface. The tabletop folds away properly after exiting.
Quickly closing the interface and interacting again also transitions correctly between unfolding and folding for smoother use.
ποΈ Overhead obstruction warning added for cargo deliveries
Cargo can no longer be sent when a building blocks the space above a Cargo Receiving Beacon.
The star chart clearly displays:
Blocked by a building above
Clear the obstruction to resume deliveries. Leave landing space for Return Capsules when arranging your rooftop receiving area.
π¬ Improved protection during Return Capsule landing and unloading
While a capsule lands or unloads, repeat deliveries to the same receiving beacon are blocked, and the active beacon cannot be dismantled. Corresponding messages explain these restrictions.
Once unloading finishes, you can send another delivery to that beacon.
As a new capsule approaches the ground, the old capsule shrinks away, reducing overlapping capsule models.
Cargo already received is unaffected.
π‘ More flexible transport across multiple landing pads
While a shipment is underway at one pad, you can switch to another pad and send more cargo without waiting for the first trip to finish.
Trains with multiple receiving sites can arrange different cargo batches more flexibly.
π¦ Keep receiving while capacity remains
Landing pad receiving messages have also been adjusted:
Cargo can still be received if there is room left.
You do not need to empty all goods from the previous delivery first.
If space runs out, remaining cargo waits to be unloaded.
Free up space promptly to finish receiving the shipment.
π±οΈ Space Storage item controls match ordinary containers
Item handling in Space Storage now matches ordinary containers.
This update fixes:
Accidentally transferring an entire stack during an action.
Incorrect failure messages when dragging an item back to its original slot.
Use your familiar container controls when organizing Space Storage.
β¨οΈ Full custom key binding support for Space Storage
Fixed Space Storage not fully following custom key bindings.
These actions now use the same bindings as ordinary containers:
Quick Transfer
Split One
Split Half
Changing a binding also updates the corresponding Space Storage action.
πΎ Automatic Crop Harvester clears withered and rotten crops
The Automatic Crop Harvester now handles withered and rotten crops too.
It collects their corresponding products and returns seeds when harvesting, freeing the growing spot for replanting.
**If the device lacks storage space, the original crop remains.** Automatic harvesting resumes after space is cleared, preventing products from being lost due to a full device.
π² Ingredient preservation rules adjusted for Cooking Stations and Drink Makers
Cooking Stations and Drink Makers now protect ingredients only during active cooking or production.
The following spoil normally:
Ingredients placed in the pot before production starts.
Leftover ingredients after production stops.
Finished food and drinks in output slots.
Start production promptly once ingredients are ready, and collect and store finished products appropriately.
π₯ Fireplace burning and cold protection fixed
Fireplaces now require fuel to burn. Fuel is consumed slowly, providing a sustained fire source.
Also fixed fireplaces failing to protect against cold.
Standing near a burning fireplace now eases cold like other heat sources, making life aboard more comfortable in cold regions.
π¨ Paint uses and crafting materials adjusted
All paint now has 4 times its previous durability.
Each bucket can now paint buildings 20 times, reducing frequent replacements during large decorating projects.
Correspondingly, the flowers required to craft paint have increased to about 2β2.5 times the previous amount.
Plan materials around the new usage count when repainting a whole carriage.
πͺ Iron sloped door replaced with an extended roller shutter
The iron sloped door is now an extended roller shutter, matching existing roller shutters.
It rolls upward when opened, giving shutters in different locations more consistent looks and opening animations.
π Pillars and half-height pillars snap to floor corners
Pillar placement has been improved, and manual rotation removed.
Pillars now snap to the four corners of an already-built square floor:
Aim near a corner to place the pillar there.
Choose placement by aiming when building supports, reducing repeated rotation adjustments.
πͺ’ Zipline post rotation fixed
Fixed the action wheel interfering with rotation when building zipline posts.
When aiming at a floor or open ground, the first short press of the rotate key now works, with no second press needed.
πͺ Curved side glass wall connections fixed
Fixed curved side glass walls failing to align with the tops of side walls.
Connection heights are now consistent on ground, half-height, and upper floors for neater wall joints.
π§° Front and rear plow repair interaction fixed
Fixed collection nets blocking interaction and preventing front or rear plows from being repaired through the repair wheel.
You can now open the appropriate repair action normally and promptly repair damaged plows.
π‘οΈ Machete grip and swing animations improved
Further refined the machete's first-person animations.
A firmer grip.
More natural blade orientation.
Smoother transitions between raising, diagonal slashing, and lowering the blade.
Repeated use now looks more fluid.
π Fixed falling through the volcano surface into the cave
Fixed suddenly falling into the underground cave while walking normally around the volcano.
Surface exploration is more stable, reducing accidental drops underground during normal travel.
π¦ Container contents indicator layout fixed
Fixed item names sometimes wrapping incorrectly and overlapping icons in container contents indicators.
Icons and names are clearer when checking a container's main contents.
