Dear conductors,
This update brings more possibilities to life aboard your train! New Half Walls and Half-Height Pillars support half-level floors and upward wall extensions, giving you more freedom to build mezzanines, platforms, and split-level spaces. The new Mushroom Planter and “Seafood Lure” rod attachment also bring fresh rewards to farming and fishing.
Food and drink recipes now support favorites and sorting. Automatic harvesters now provide the same bonus yields as manual harvesting, and the Gramophone has updated power and module requirements. We have also fixed multiplayer egg collection, ingredient placement at cooking stations, equipment misalignment, and certain key bindings.
Here are the full update notes.
Future plans: We are returning to weekly updates to work on larger, more complex systems. The next version will introduce a cave ecosystem, fix many map clipping issues, overhaul story quests and character skill trees, and add a steelworks to address lackluster mid- and late-game progression. Many performance and visual improvements are also planned.
🏗️ Half Walls and Half-Height Pillars: More freedom for your layout
New Half Walls and Half-Height Pillars
Use the Building Hammer to build 1-unit-high Half Walls and Half-Height Pillars. Both can be upgraded from wood to stone and iron to suit different carriage styles.
Half-level floors create more space
Build a Half Wall or Half-Height Pillar, select a floor, and aim at its top to place a half-level floor for mezzanines, platforms, and split-level layouts.
Aim at a wall to build upward
With a wall selected, aim at an existing wall to extend it upward, without placing an intermediate floor first.
Half Walls and full walls can be freely combined and stacked. New walls connect according to the height of the wall below, making renovations easier.
🍄 New Mushroom Planter
Want to grow mushrooms aboard? You can now unlock the Mushroom Planter blueprint at the Tier 3 Technology Table!
This hanging, two-tier planter has 3 planting spots per tier, accommodating up to 6 mushrooms at once.
Plant directly: Insert a raw mushroom to start growing. Cooked mushrooms and ordinary seeds are not accepted.
Water and fertilizer: Each tier shares water and fertilizer. Growth pauses without water; fertilizer speeds it up.
Harvest by growth stage: Small, medium, and large mushrooms yield 1, 2, and 4 mushrooms respectively.
Harvest whenever you like, or wait for larger mushrooms and a bigger yield!
🎣 New rod attachment: Seafood Lure
Want more river shrimp, freshwater mussels, and shellfish? Try the new “Seafood Lure”!
Unlock it at the Tier 3 Technology Table. When equipped, 66% of catches are shrimp, shellfish, starfish, or conches from the current waters, with fish and other items becoming correspondingly less likely:
Freshwater: Raw River Shrimp and Freshwater Mussels each have a 33% chance.
Seawater: Red Starfish, Blue Starfish, Seashells, and Conches each have a 16.5% chance.
The lure fits Refined Fishing Rods and Alloy Fishing Rods, uses 1 attachment slot, and can be combined with bait. The quantity per catch is unchanged.
Crafting materials: Iron Ingot ×1, Copper Ingot ×1, Fiber Rope ×2.
Uses: 60. Once the float settles in the water, 1 use is consumed. Reeling in early or failing the catch does not refund it.
We also updated the item descriptions for bait and earthworms to make them clearer.
❤️ Favorites and sorting for food and drink recipes
Your regular recipes are now easier to find!
Food and drink recipes now have heart-shaped favorite buttons, with a one-click toggle to view favorites.
Sort by name, food, hydration, health, and oxygen in ascending or descending order.
Food recipes also support sorting by star rating.
Improved recipe card layouts for clearer long names and effect descriptions.
Favorites and sorting preferences are remembered automatically, and refreshing the list preserves your browsing position.
Favorite your usual meals and drinks to find them faster when preparing supplies.
🌾 Automatic harvesting improvements
The Automatic Crop Harvester and Automatic Egg Collector now provide the same bonus yields as manual harvesting:
Crop harvesting: Each harvest has a 20% chance to yield 1 Earthworm.
Egg collection: Each egg has a 1/3 chance to yield 1 Manure.
These probabilities match manual harvesting.
If the device lacks space, the original crop or egg remains in place until space is cleared.
🎵 Gramophone technology, power, and module changes
The Gramophone's unlock and operation requirements have changed:
The Gramophone now unlocks at technology Tier 4.
It consumes a small amount of electricity while running.
It supports Mute Modules and Energy-Saving Modules.
With a Mute Module, it quietly improves the mood of animals in the same carriage without interrupting background music.
It pauses when power is lost and resumes automatically when power returns.
Connect the Gramophone to power and add modules as needed to keep your animals happy.
🌱 A new look for the Tree Planter
Replaced the old Tree Planter model with one that better matches the game's overall style, giving your planting areas a more consistent look.
🛒 Permanent oxygen zone at bandit shops
Added a small permanent oxygen zone and a range indicator around bandit shops.
Oxygen continuously recovers inside the zone, letting you browse goods and organize your shopping list comfortably.

Fixed some bamboo and desert trees remaining impossible to chop when approached.
Improved trunk hit areas for easier chopping and movement through gaps in bamboo groves.
🗺️ Map loading and travel between areas

Improved terrain loading transitions between areas, reducing the risk of terrain unexpectedly disappearing when revisiting explored areas.
🛠️ Equipment switching and key binding fixes
Hand and equipment display fixes
Fixed occasional hand/equipment misalignment after switching fishing rods, guns, bows, or tools that previously required repeated switching to resolve.
Preventing key bindings that make menus unusable
