Dear conductors,
Your carriage farm has two new helpers! This update adds the Automatic Egg Collector and Automatic Crop Harvester. Unlock the “Automatic Harvesting” technology and keep them powered to collect eggs from poultry coops, harvest mature crops, and gather seeds, making everyday harvesting easier.
The electric Automatic Grappling Hook and Automatic Drill now also support Energy-Saving Modules, and the overall cost of unlocking Tier 4 technologies has been reduced. We have also addressed shop purchases, reversing through junctions, ladder climbing, frozen-lake exploration, and animal behavior.
Here are the full update notes.
🌾 Automatic harvesting arrives: Easier farming aboard your train
The new “Automatic Harvesting” technology unlocks two devices you can craft:
Automatic Egg Collector
With continuous power, it automatically collects eggs produced by every poultry coop in the same carriage, including chicken, duck, goose, and special eggs.
Automatic Crop Harvester
With continuous power, it automatically harvests mature crops from planters in the same carriage and collects the seeds they produce.
Both devices have 18 storage slots. The Egg Collector only stores supported eggs, while the Crop Harvester only stores supported crops and seeds.
Items stored inside these devices spoil at one-fifth the normal rate, making your harvest easier to keep!
⚡ Energy-Saving Modules for automated equipment
The electric Automatic Grappling Hook and Automatic Drill can now be fitted with Energy-Saving Modules:
Each module reduces power consumption by 10%.
Each device supports up to 2 modules, for a total 20% reduction in power consumption.
Fit your automated equipment with these modules to make better use of your train's power supply.
📘 Tier 4 technology unlock costs adjusted
Tier 4 unlock costs have been adjusted, with a lower overall resource requirement, easing the burden of unlocking technology and helping you progress.
🛒 Shop purchases and multiplayer transaction improvements
This update fixes and improves shopping:
Fixed an issue where Oxygen Coins could be deducted without the purchased goods entering your inventory.
If there is not enough inventory space, the entire purchase is canceled without charging you. Purchased goods will no longer be dropped on the ground automatically.
Improved transaction reliability after disconnecting and reconnecting when purchasing items or carriages in multiplayer.
Before you head out shopping, leave enough inventory space for your supplies!
🚂 Train movement and junction fixes
More reliable reversing through junctions
Fixed trains sometimes suddenly jumping far away when reversing through certain junctions.
Corrected left/right route selection when reversing through certain junctions.
Fixed mismatches between the map's route preview, junction prompts, and the actual route taken.
Trains stop sooner when nobody is aboard
Strengthened the existing automatic slowdown for unattended coal and electric engines.
When no living players remain aboard, the train gradually slows to a stop using one-quarter of the handbrake's braking force, reducing long coasting distances at high speed. Once a player boards again, the train can resume moving if its propulsion requirements are met.
🪜 Vertical ladder and Building Hammer fixes
Fixed vertical ladders being impossible to grab or climb when the train was tilted. You can now climb on and off ladders while the train tilts or turns; physical obstacles still block passage.
Fixed the Building Hammer failing to remove wooden vertical ladders in demolition mode. Dismantling returns planks under the existing rules.
Fixed a previously held tool sometimes remaining visible after selecting a structure with the Building Hammer.
🎵 Gramophone mood bonus and special egg pickup fixes
Muted sound no longer spoils animals' good mood
Fixed the Gramophone failing to provide its animal mood bonus when muted or unable to play music.
Now, as long as the Gramophone is running, animals in chicken coops and animal pens in the same carriage receive the mood bonus.
Golden Eggs and Colored Eggs can be picked up normally
Fixed Golden Eggs and Colored Eggs dropped on carriage floors being impossible to pick up.
🐗 Wild animal behavior and distribution adjustments
Fixed boars floating while moving downhill or pausing, and charges ending unexpectedly.
Fixed animals continuing to track players who had entered another animal's area after losing their attack target.
Changed the starting forest's resident animals from boars to wolves.
❄️ Frozen-lake exploration fixes
Fixed bears, wolves, boars, and mineral deposits sometimes appearing beneath the ice in frozen-lake areas, making them impossible to attack or gather.
Improved animal movement on ice.
⌨️ Key prompts and bow pose fixes
Key names follow your selected language
Fixed some key prompts still appearing in English. After changing key bindings, the relevant key names in settings, tutorials, and interaction prompts now follow your selected language.
Bow-holding pose fixes
Fixed occasional arm twisting while holding a bow and poses lingering after switching actions.
