Hi everyone
Here is a small guide for getting into the SuperWEIRD playtest and launching co-op with friends.
For anyone landing on this tiny space rock for the first time, SuperWEIRD is an automation roguelite about building strange production chains, commanding clumsy robots, assembling pieces of a broken planet, and fighting the Corruption called Goofy Goo. And now, very carefully, we are testing multiplayer.
Already in the playtest? Invite up to 3 friends
If you already have SuperWEIRD in your Steam library, you can invite up to 3 friends to join the playtest.
How to invite friends to the playtest
- Open the SuperWEIRD playtest page in Steam.
- Find the blue button that says something like “3 invites remaining”.
- Click it.
- In the window that opens, press the double-arrow button.
- Then press “Invite friends”.
- Steam will open the invite window. You can invite up to 3 people from your friends list, as long as you have been Steam friends for 30+ days.

How to invite a friend into co-op
Let’s say your friend already has access to the SuperWEIRD playtest. Now you can try starting co-op.
Option 1: Steam Overlay invite, the most reliable way
- Launch SuperWEIRD.
- Press Shift + Tab to open the Steam Overlay.
- Open your friends list.
- Right-click the friend you want to invite.
- Choose “Invite to Game”.
- Make sure your friend launches the game before accepting your invitation and joining your session.
This is the method we recommend trying first.
Option 2: Join with a code
You can also use the co-op code.
- Copy the invite code from the exit menu.
- Send it to your friend.
- Your friend should press the “Join Game” button.
- Then they need to paste the code into the code field.
- If the button on the right side does not work, try using Ctrl + V to paste the code manually.
Thank you for helping us test this very fragile little space experiment.
Happy testing!
