Hey everyone!
We have a new patch out today that brings in some changes to shops, more augments and some bug fixes/QoL changes. We also want to apologise that updates haven't been as fast as usual - but the good news is that this is because we have been working on some super secret big changes that we hope to announce and launch soon. We've taken aboard a lot of feedback and will be testing out these big changes that will make the game flow a lot quicker, and crazier whilst also being more accessible without losing any of the deckbuilder depth. This will of course be on top of all the other fun stuff we promised to add previously!
We will tell you more about this soon, but for now - here are some of the key changes in the latest patch:
Shopkeepers are here!: We have streamlined the shop system so it is more in line with the classic roguelike experience - with a choice between which shop you want to choose after defeating each elite. This gives the player more choice and control over where they want to spend their money and when. We are also aiming to add new shopkeepers for more variety before the 1.0 release!
Critical Chance Augments: The Calibrate (critical chance) mechanic is a great option across many builds for powering up over a run - but we wanted to add more varied options for increasing your critical hit chance - and so we have some added some new augments:
Locked In: When 15+ bullets parried: Increase Crit Chance by 5%
Wrath: Calibrate increases with Rage
Adrenaline: On enemy kill: Increase Crit Chance by 1% during wave
Balancing: Level 1 enemies now spawn fewer bullets - easing the difficulty curve a bit for new players.
Bug fixes/Quality of life:
Can no longer freeze the game temporarily by pressing the 'Loadout' button during certain instances of the game where the Loadout panel is not available. The loadout panel button will also be hidden when it can't be used/
Elites are now invincible until their intro sequence is done - avoiding very case where a player freezes the game by killing them first (kudos if you managed to get that powerful...)
Mouse cursor fixes - made the mouse cursor disappear consistently when playing on controller.
As always please do leave any feedback or suggestion on the Steam Discussion page or on our Discord (link below)!
