It has been one week since the release of version 1.0. Over the past week, we have rolled out 17 optimization patches, fixing almost all issues that could block progression and resolving many bugs that affected the gameplay experience. This release journey has made us deeply aware of how challenging it is for a small team to develop an online co‑op game—considering the interdependencies of items, save data, and other systems, a single oversight in any area could break the entire flow. Moving forward, we will place greater emphasis on game testing to avoid the unpleasant experiences caused by bugs.
I also made a serious mistake in the flow guidance. My initial design direction leaned more toward an escape‑room style, but I overlooked the fact that the scene complexity and puzzle interaction methods would confuse players. To address this, we have added more specific text descriptions in mission guidance, introduced real‑time player location markers on the map, and added target location hints in the form of sibling dialogues when players need to find certain items. We will continue to add more dialogue prompts, text hints, and map icon guides to reduce pointless searching and excessive backtracking.
Regarding combat, the presence of monsters made it difficult for players to balance chasing and puzzle‑solving. Therefore, we have reduced the puzzle difficulty in areas with monsters, decreased the number of enemies, and especially simplified the difficulty of the sister's storyline. (As an aside, difficulty scaling is another aspect we overlooked—we have taken note of it and will keep it in mind.)
Our future optimization plans include:
Adding a new save‑loading feature that allows players to start from a specific checkpoint, so they don't have to restart from the beginning after completing the game.
Continuing to improve guidance and puzzle hints.
In short, on behalf of our team, I sincerely apologize for the poor experience caused by the rushed release of version 1.0. We will keep optimizing this game until it becomes something that both our players and our team can be satisfied with.
