Commanders,
Thanks for everyone's continued feedback this week! I'm happy to roll out Hotseat Mode today. As for the other near-term road map items:
Solo Scenarios: I've built these but I need to test them a bit. I've got some travel this weekend, so I'll be running through both of the original solo scenarios for accuracy/play.
Blood Brothers: This is another one that is also built but needs testing - Blood Brothers changes a lot of the core turn interactions (act at the same time, see all your teammate's stuff, stack together, have combat together) that needs some thorough testing before rolling out.
Improved AI: I've been running experiments since launch and I've got a release candidate ready for testing - also an 'on the plane/while travelling' objective.
Space Imperia Campaign (Season 0): Thanks so far for everyone's feedback on the proposed Campaign system! There's been some great ideas and discussion. Once the above two items are rolled out, I'll be putting the final touches on the Campaign and will launch the system.
FIXES
AI player issues in multiplayer
Screen and retreat button display issues on large layout
Screen key no longer accepts input on invalid actions (I need to come up with a better system to indicate why actions cannot be taken)
carrier screening issues fixed (carriers can only be specifically screened in combat if all fighters are screened with them, too)
Fixed issues where econ screen was allowing invalid builds (but engine rejected them)
Fixed issue with game notifications for multiplayer
Fixed reporting/messaging related to changing discord notification settings
Server responses now show in bottom middle instead of behind UI at top (3 year old bug display path)
Slightly better split handling
FEATURES
Hotseat: singleplayer matches now can select slots/colors/human/AI for each slot on each map. Currently, only threat is enabled for non-hotseat - I don't want threat progression in hotseat - but, could add 'choose a threat for the AI' and not have progression/achievement unlocks - thoughts?
Codex is now on the main menu
Indicators for multiplayer team games
Discord notification option: "always notify" (even if you're connected to the game)
Econ menu lists most shipyards first - I need to better indicate (visually, on the map) where you could build / where you're currently building, as well, so I'll be working on something like that soon
Enjoy the weekend!
Brett
