Emotes!
Hop in right now and receive your first emote! Play the yippee emote in-game by pressing the G key!
We are looking into making an emote wheel and rewarding additional emotes ready to be shared- these emotes in the demo version can be earned by playing, and will be received in your Steam inventory.
Items in the Steam inventory have limited access in -nosteam (manual connections) mode
Stats dashboard (beta)
stats.playlaser.games
The stats dashboard is an open source web interface made with d3.js, intended to show players the performance of the matches they play! Currently available online, look forward in a future update for direct implementation in-game, replacing currently the scoreboard at the end of each match.
To use, first off, record stats of your epic gameplay! Hop in and play some laser tag, then open the pause menu and click the new "Save Game Stats" button at the bottom-left.

Next, set the name of the file, and click save. Note down the path where it's being saved!

Now, head over to
, and load the stats file you just saved. If you don't have a stats file, you can view sample data by clicking "Load Sample Data".

Finally, click "Process Data," and watch your match data get visualized! Click and scroll around the dashboard to interact with it and view detailed stats about the events in the game. To change the data you're looking at, click "Upload Dialog" at the top of the page.

The stats dashboard isn't complete- there's still many areas to improve. Here's an overview of what we have planned:
Filtering by team and by player
Improved CSS
Integration directly in-game
Steam cloud saves for in-game stats
Paper printing support (like real laser tag locations' scorecards)
Integration directly with Steam- sign into to Steam and view cloud saved stats
Signature checks- are the stats authentic?

Map Changes
General
Improved Paths
We're using a new technique to generate the paths along the floor, intended to help guide players around the twisting corridors of the arena (like a fire escape path). The new technique makes more consistently sized paths which are better aligned to the ground.
LaserArena
We're preparing this map for a full art pass! In the meantime, checkout these minor changes!
Improved Lighting
Darker and more ultraviolet-like lighting in the main area, to give off more of a pseudo-fluorescent glow. We're constantly looking into ways to improve the lighting vfx to master the look seen in laser tag, beneath blacklights and fog!
LaserMaze
Triggerable Doors
Those glowing doors throughout LaserMaze are finally functional! Find flashing sensors placed along the walls near the white doors, and tag them to trigger the doors.
We are working with this triggering mechanic to improve the LaserArena singleplayer challenge... Stay tuned for updates on that!
Fixes
Fixed issues in LaserMaze where clients would disconnect and/or not properly load half of the map
Also fixed issues with players not spawning on half of the map in LaserMaze
Fixed issues with players unable to rejoin or host sessions after leaving or getting kicked
Fixed UI inconsistencies with points and tags being displayed
Fixed various crashes regarding match conclusion
Fixed issue where in-match music doesn't play on clients
Fixed issues with manual connections
Fixed issues with crouching causing the player's collision capsule to incorrectly change in radius
A notification window will now show 30 seconds after attempting and failing to connect to a game
Fixed replication issues with hits
