We're excited to launch version 2.0 of Trials of Valor!
This is our biggest update since launch, by far! We think it's fair to call it 2.0 as it includes a brand new game mode, many improvements and over 70 new charms!!!
Endless Mode
The main star of the show is the new Endless mode where you'll try to survive as far as possible, while battling enemies that grow in strength after each defeated Elite encounter.

After each fight, you get a randomized choice of materials that will help you survive.

You can spend these resources to construct different Crafting Stations in the Camp and use them to gain a wide array of benefits.
Spellbook
After constructing the Spellbook, you can use it to learn a new ability, similar to the normal mode where you get to pick 1 out of 3 abilities after some fights.

Anvil
This is used to forge items where you'll also be able to pick a modifier that gets applied to that item.

At first, you'll forge a random item and get to select 1 out of 2 modifiers to apply. Whenever you upgrade the anvil, you have a chance of finding a charm that shows more items and modifiers to pick from.

Rest Site
You will most likely need to restore a fair amount of health throughout your run and the rest site will help you with that.
Upgrading the Rest Site gives you extra benefits when you rest, like gaining Valor stats or materials just by resting! 💪

Brewing Cauldron
You can brew powerful potions here by using your Herbs and some Magic Essence. The selection of potions starts out with 1 random potion, but can be upgraded to show a selection of 3 potions to pick from.

Gemforge
This station is used to create charms. You can upgrade the station to show more charms and also have an increasing chance at giving you Greater Charms.

Upgrading any station gives benefits!
If you upgrade the Anvil, you will get a selection of two Camp Charms.
The left Charm is related to the current Crafting Station (Anvil in this case) and the right one is a neutral Camp Charm that doesn't focus on a particular Crafting Station.
Should any of the Charms run out, you will see normal Charms in this menu instead.

Zueljin - "The end runner"
This new Elite enemy is of course based on the YouTuber by the same name, who (while writing this post) made 13 videos of Trials of Valor 🔥

You're in for a real challenge with this fight, but we promise that we made him a lot easier to defeat than we originally wanted!
Dark Templar (Mini Zueljins)
This normal enemy shares some of the same moves as Zueljin, but are much easier to defeat. Don't understimate their powers!

Bulwark armor set rework
One of our players reminded us that there were too few items to even complete the Bulwark armor set. At best, you could reach 4/5 pieces.
This made us completely rework the Armor Set bonus

There's now also a legendary version of the Bulwark set called "Fortress".
We also added a surprise item in honor of that specific player, since they were the first to report that the armor set was incomplete. We added The Forgotten Fortress, which is a legendary shield that you can encounter in the game. Forgotten by many, remembered by HSF.

Armor sets are now shown at the bottom of the Stats window

You can now move abilities between bars!
The only condition is that the ability you'd like to move is not a "primary" or a "secondary" ability.
This makes a huge different on the Wizard, as X or Y abilities, like Hail or Haul will change its effect depending on where it's placed.

Hail or Haul gets a different effect based on where it's placed!
Improvements to the chapter 1 / 2 visuals
We reduced the "teal fog" in Chapter 1 and applied more post processing to improve the visuals.

We also reduced the saturation and overall tint in Chapter 2 (it used to have a strong purple / teal tone). Hopefully this should be easier on the eyes while still providing a cool environment.

Spirit Wolves
We still get a lot of requests to make the player able to summon the Spirit Wolves, just like the Beast Master enemy does.

Well, we finally did it!

It's unrelated to summoning, but it gives you a really good ability that scales well into late game too.
New gear modifier - Of Fellowship
This new modifier is a must for anyone trying to make the most broken Summoning build possible. It also helps anyone who wants to unlock any of the 3 Summoning classes.

UI overhauls and centered tooltip placement
We know that the UI can become really busy with information. Some players suggested we center the tooltips instead of always showing them on top of what you're hovering. It makes a lot of sense to do this for some menus, like the shop and the item reward screen.
This is an example of what a shop looks like now with the new changes

Ultrawide monitor fixes
We applied some much needed fixes for ultra-wide monitors. Some menus were stretched in a weird way, while some backdrop images simply didn't stretch at all. We applied many fixes and we believe all menus are mostly acceptable right now, but there are more improvements to be made.
These changes will help Ultra-wide monitor users a lot, but we know there are still some areas where menus float to the absolute left / right. We wish it was easier to provide optimal viewing experiences on different resolutions, but we are very happy with the new improvements non the less :)
Final words - A huge thanks to all the playtesters
We'd like to thank all the players from our Discord who helped us playtest this new version.
One of our most legendary players, Skebbnar, also put in a dangerous amount of hours into this version.
We'd like to thank each and every one of you who helped us! We definitely got some good advice on what tweaks to make and also managed to fix bugs that would have been hard to find on our own.
Also, a special thanks to Zueljin for showcasing the latest update.
If you want to see the real Zueljin face the in game Zueljin, check out this clip! (link is set to the exact fight)
