Hi everyone!
I am excited to officially announce the latest and greatest version of my 2021 horror adventure game, Deluge! Dropping the fully capitalized title, the latest version of the game is a much tighter and thoughtful approach to the original. Taking everything I've learned from watching tons of playthroughs, being critical of content that didn't deliver, and playing lots of indie RPGs in general, I've retooled the plot of the game and supercharged the gameplay to be a much more definitive experience, and I can't wait to share it with you all.
Deluge @ TooManyGames 2025
The first instance of sharing the game with players will take place this weekend at TooManyGames, running June 27 through June 29 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA! I was honored to be invited to join the Indie Game Showcase, a dedicated area on the convention floor for indie games to show off and setup demos. I will be
Additionally, I'll be presenting a panel on the engine that got me here, RPG Maker, alongside my good friend and fellow game developer Jaiden Alemni, creator of the forthcoming Legends of Astravia! That takes place on the first day of the event, Friday, June 27, at 7:00pm at the Ruby stage! Please come check that out if you wanna hear two nerds talk about RPG Maker stuff they like for an hour!
Thank You, Team!
Over the past year and a half I've been putting together this remake, I've been supported by an amazing team of friends and creators. I was a one-man team for the original version, but thanks to these individuals, the game is a team effort and it shows. A huge thank you is in order for all of them.
Thanks to:
Gimmer and Narcodis, who have assisted me with programming from the jump.
Bandkanon, who's pixel art has made the one of the most visually-appealing draws of the game!
Rifter8rocks, who created our incredible key art, and has contributed various sprite edits too!
TBG and s0nderlust, two musical artists who have provided additional music to this new version to coincide with tons of new tracks from myself (Jazzweather).
TheTrueSaltKing, LilijaTheLancer, MeganHertz, DZ, Mister Chapstick, Sp1TehKey, YourUncleMeatball for providing a ton of voice lines and adding so much personality to my characters.
My insane lineup of testers: Boash, Bl_nderscore, DZ, SergeSkunk and the Good Stew Games boys. Thanks for helping me to tune this thing up before the convention!
What's Next
After the convention this weekend, I'm going to go into a deep hibernation mode to do other things work on the rest of the game and take everything I've learned from the convention and through playtesting. I've gotten a lot of fresh ideas that I want to appy to the game and I can't wait to work on it without a looming due date (TMG) always on my mind.
There will not be a public demo ahead of release, but I'll be doing everything I can to stick to my Winter 2025 deadline. You should expect to hear something new about the game by DELUGE's fourth birthday on October 31, 2025!
See you at TooManyGames 2025!
