Hi!
Avoidance here.
After a long break, we’re incredibly happy to finally bring you this update. Of course, the biggest addition is the two new maps, but alongside them, we’ve also made a huge number of fixes and improvements to the game.
You can find the full list of changes below.
New Maps
Two brand-new full-scale maps have been added. They continue the main progression of the game and unlock one after another. If you’ve already completed the original map, the second map will be available to you right away. The third map will unlock after completing the second.
Additional maps and modes that are not part of the main progression now have their own dedicated EXTRAS section.
Freeride and Descending have been moved to this new section.
And, of course, new leaderboards have been added for the new maps!
Controls
The braking system has been reworked. Brakes are now less abrupt, allowing for more precise control of the truck when playing with a keyboard.
Achievements
8 new achievements have been added, related to the new maps and more. We’ve also reworked the descriptions of several achievements to make their requirements clearer.
Community Items
We’re happy to announce that you can now unlock Steam Trading Cards for Nitroglycerine!
We’ve also prepared a set of backgrounds and avatars in the style of Nitroglycerine — check them out!
Visual Improvements
Reverse lights have been added to all trucks. They not only help when reversing in poorly lit areas, but also clearly indicate when reverse gear is engaged.
Sound
We’ve made a major update to the game’s audio, fixing numerous issues, improving existing sounds, and refining how they work in different situations.
Reworked in-cabin audio.
Reworked the braking sound system.
Added new tracks to radio station
Optimization
A lot of work has gone into optimizing the game. The new maps run better, and the original map has also been updated to improve performance.
Interface
Reworked several elements of the main menu and in-game menus.
Added new hints.
Fixed localization issues.
Fixed issues with screen resolution display in the settings menu.
Added a progress reset button. You can find it in the Settings section of the main menu.
Other Fixes
Fixed visual issues on the original map.
Fixed an issue that could cause brake lights to stop working after the previous truck exploded.
Fixed an issue that prevented all talismans from being collected on the Freeride map.
Fixed an audio issue after using recovery in Freeride.
Fixed an issue where some moving objects could interfere with the camera.
Headlights now turn off when the engine is not running.
And a lot of minor fixes!
If you encounter any issues after the update, please let us know. Your reports help us make the game better!
Thank you, and enjoy the game!
