Hey everyone!

It's been a while. Finally, update 1.60.1 is ready. What this update mainly does is prepare for the new DLC: Cosmic Curse! This DLC is all about going on Plunders to collect crafting materials and find Cursed items, which can be Blessed for new powers! The Cosmic Curse DLC will be available tomorrow, and you can find it here:

This update also introduces a lot of changes, fixes, and general QoL improvements to the base game, for everyone, and you can read all about it below.

Chronicon 1.60.1

AREAS:

GENERAL:

• Tinka's Domain: Moved the Lore Books.
• The Chronicon: Moved the Lore Books.

ANOMALIES:

• DUNGEON ANOMALY: Boss reward chests should now always spawn in the same spot, where the boss itself originally spawned.
• Increased enemy spawn density of many open Anomaly layouts.

EXPEDITIONS:

• Expedition Arenas now have much less time between Waves spawning.

ANCIENT BEASTS:

• Ancient Beasts now scale their movement speed based on their distance from you, so if you teleport or otherwise move around rapidly, they'll catch up quicker so their local radius based Artifacts will still be useful.

COMBAT:

GENERAL:

• Doublecasts now happen with a slightly lower delay, and any stacked doublecasts are now individually delayed.
• Companions no longer perform on-death explosions and other effects when they are disbanded automatically by changing gear and similar actions.

THORNS MECHANIC:

• Thorns percentage increments via buffs are now multiplicative with other sources of Thorn%, and additive with other buffs of Thorns%.
• This affects:
  • Anomalous Lesser Rune of Critical Thorns
  • Anomalous Lesser Rune of Thorn Veil
  • Reckoning Set (Templar Set)
  • Masochist Set (Warlock Set)
  • Reprisal (Templar Aura)
  • Retaliation (Templar Passive)
  • Thorn Maiden (Templar Ultimate)
  • Dragon Spike (Berserker Buff)
  • Drakeform (Berserker Ultimate)
  • Bone Thorns (Warlock Mastery Perk)
  • Retaliation Module (Mechanist Passive)
  • Elixirs

ENEMIES:

• Champions of stronger and/or solitary enemies no longer spawn more of themselves around them, but instead weaker enemies that are thematically fitting.
• Added 4 new enemy mods:
  • Geyser
  • Tentacles
  • Water Nova
  • Satellites

ITEMS & RUNES:

Note: values are (roll-range) [augment] [[greater augment]]

ALL:

• Talisman of Spines buffed to [120] [[200]]% up from [100] [[150]]% - also increased the Augment value from 3% per Augment to 8%.
• Anomalous Lesser Rune of Polished Gems: Buffed values to +(8-12) [20] [[25]]% from +(2-3) [5] [[7]]%

BERSERKER:

• Anomalous Rune of Targeted Destruction now applies a powerful Weaken effect for Explosive Maneouvers rather than a generic burn.
• Molten Medallion buffed to [5] [[10]] up from [1] [[3]].
• Frostwyrm 3p bonus no longer spawns 3x winds, and instead spawns spiraling Frost Wyrms on Frostbite ticks.

WARLOCK:

• Demon Lord 3p set bonus no longer removes Critical Hit from the Infernal Demon.

WARDEN:

• Windcaller Whirlwinds will now strike nearby foes with Pods if it passes through a Toxic Storm, Hail if it passes through a Hail Storm, and Lightning Rod if it passes through a Thunder Storm - if you have those skills.
• Windcaller Whirlwinds (set) are now a different color so they are separated from Gusts, Tornado, etc. And their color changes if their element does.

MECHANIST:

• Added a check to Drone Pilot's Gear 3p bonus so that it does not consume ammo too frequently to refresh the buff. It will now be able to trigger once you have 2 seconds or less left of the buff.

SKILLS & MASTERY:

ALL:

• Any (or I guess, most) skills that applies a buff as part of its function now has the "Buff" tag.
• All Utility skills and all Ultimate skills should now properly scale their effects with bonus ranks beyond max.
• Class Masteries now also increase Thorns.

WARDEN:

• Companion skills that were previously limited to 1 Companion have had that limit lifted via the new "Companion Count" stat, which will start appearing with the Cosmic Curse DLC and future updates.
• These skills will then also interact with the Call of the Wild accessory/power/rune.
• Ice Splinters (Frost - Physical synergy skill) now no longer lets Frost skills trigger Splinters, but instead makes Snow Blast apply Razor Tips to foes hit.
• Stormshrooms (Poison - Lightning synergy skill) now properly interact with Lightning Rod upgrades such as the Stormcaller Set burn effect, and any synergy nodes such as Squall.
• Mega Wisp (Mastery) now also makes the Mega Wisp trigger Lightning Rod.
• Fairy Ring no longer plants the shrooms in a larger radius with increased reach.

WARLOCK:

• Added a Soul Skill tag to skills that use Souls.
• The passives Hell Caller, Soul Power, and Soul Reaper now also tag the linked Active skill with the Soul Skill tag.
• Ritual of Necromancy now adds +1 Skeleton on for each Rank above max. (all other non-Ultimate companion skills have some kind of volume scaling but this one was always a solid 5)
• Updated wording on Chilling Haunts mastery to make it clear it also applies Cold Death.

QoL:

• Enemies no longer roll slowing/grappling affixes when the player is really low level.
• The Stats page now scrolls much faster with a gamepad.
• King Tinka no longer forces the camera on him when you enter Tinka's Domain with a new character.
• Added a failure reason (text) to Hellforge recipes being attempted in regular Transmutation.
• The Unlock Enchants transmutation recipe can now be performed with keys that are marked as Favorite.
• Mythic Transmutation recipes now work even if the materials are marked as Favorite.
• The Anomaly Waypoint in Tinka's Domain now says "Anomalies" rather than just "Waypoint".
• All portals now render more solidly (and, unfortunately, more ugly - forgive me) and are much less likely to blend into the floor.
• Increased dummy health.
• Made the intro transitions on game boot a bit smoother and quicker.

SFX:

• Added new footstep sounds for surfaces wood and carpet/rug.
• Lowered volume of several types of footstep sounds.

VISUALS:

• Anomalies now support heat distortion shaders for the Desert and Hell areas. (can be made less intense or disabled via the Video Settings menu)

UI:

• Added a new page to the Codex for tracking Blessings (DLC content).
• Added Minor Stats Modifier to the Stat Screen.
• Using a controller now also displays the Inventory access button on the HUD (solo play only).
• Improved the item cards for Artifacts and Artifact Slots.
• Improved the item card borders and colorized them after item rarities.
• Improved target Healthbar, Buff, and Crown display.
• Item Icons are now rendered properly while in the Equipment slots, because it was for some reason different both technically and visually from when they were in the inventory slots.
• Changed the color-coding of the Fire element to be more distinct from regular orange text.
• Skill info cards now use number shortening for Damage and Health values over 100,000.
• Added more number shortenings for super large numbers.

FIXES:

• Fixed Dungeon Anomalies generating without an exit by adding a forced safety portal popping if all else fails. (I hope).
• Fixed issue with some corridor Anomaly Layouts not generating exits or generating them by the entrance.
• Fixed a rare crash related to the warp mod for enemies.
• Fixed Anomaly rare spawn events sometimes overlapping (IE getting a King Slime only event and a Void Spawn only event at the same time, mixing them).
• Fixed some portals (upward stairs specifically) being rendered underneath the player at all times.
• Fixed rare crash related to applying debuffs to enemies.
• Fixed rare crash related to Vendor UI and gamepads.

• Fixed some weird nametag position scaling.
• Fixed similar issues with target healthbar / buff scaling.
• Fixed many line break issues with texts thoughout the game's UI.
• Fixed issues with double and overlapping tooltips/item cards in local co-op.
• Fixed Loaded Bolts (Warden) not increasing the damage of Splinters Triggered via Double Draw.

• Fixed not being able to land traps when using Trap Throw as Warden with really high attack speed.
• Fixed Phantoma (Templar TL Sword) not triggering on-hit effects.
• Fixed some areas of the game showing the Secret icon (an "S") on the map even if no secret actually spawned in the area.
• Fixed Death Knight (Warlock Ultimate) giving 20% to Bane Skill cooldown rather than the listed 25%.
• Fixed some Mobility skills that doesn't deal damage being able to trigger things that technically required a damaging skill.
• Fixed Transmutation recipes that failed playing the failure sound effect twice.
• Fixed snapshootting issues with Transmutation. Doing any Transmutation now calls a character refresh, removing buffs, companions, and any active skills, preventing snapshotting.
• Fixed Typo in Medella Hellforge speech.
• Fixed the quest Hungry Hungry Gluttons (act 5) being too specific. You can now kill any type of Glutton to make progress with the quest.
• Fixed some quest descriptions lacking details.
• General Jensen in Act 5 will now no longer have a "?" icon above his head for the quest "Into The Depths" once you have advanced that quest.
• Rebinding skills now reset buffs, companions, etc, just like swapping skills does, to prevent snapshotting.
• Fixed some missing enchant/rune updates not being retroactive changes as they always are (missed with 1.54.0)
• Fixed the Codex flickering and changing colors when hovering some enemy entries.
• Fixed crash if right clicking Bramley to quick-open the Expedition Tree, and him opening a scrolling dialogue text as you close it due to being on the Ancient Beasts storyline quests.
• Fixed base cooldown reduction bonuses of Ultimates when having extra ranks.
• Fixed Ultimate skills not counting bonus ranks for their buff effects for Warden and Warlock.
• Fixed issues with the node "hitbox" when zooming in the Expedition tree.
