The wait is over Wanderers' Outpost is part of Steam Next Fest!
If you've been following development, there's never been a better time to jump in. We've released a brand-new trailer and packed the demo with a round of improvements based on development and player feedback.
New Trailer
We've put together a new trailer to better showcase what Wanderers' Outpost is all about:
Build and grow your settlement.
Tax adventurers for their hard-earned loot.
Support expeditions into dangerous dungeons.
Defend your outpost from whatever crawls back out.
If you enjoy colony sims, management games, and fantasy economies, we'd love to hear what you think.
Demo Improvements
Over the past week we've focused on polishing the core gameplay loop and making expeditions feel more reliable.
Better Expeditions
Emergency Beacons can now recall expeditions back to the outpost.
Surviving adventurers will always return with recovered loot, whether they retreat, run out of supplies, or defeat a dungeon boss.
Dungeon boss victories now properly contribute to fame progression.
Economy Tweaks
Adventurers now buy their own expedition supplies instead of creating outpost debt.
Loot and unused supplies are sold and distributed among surviving party members.
Added a Sell All button for faster trading.
World Improvements
Safer starting area generation around the outpost.
New dedicated wildlife sprites for several animals.
Improved object layering and visual consistency.
Better room detection and simulation performance.
Refreshed menus and HUD improvements.
Added WASD camera movement.
Lots of Bug Fixes
As always, we've tackled a variety of UI, expedition, simulation, and visual bugs to make the experience smoother.
