¡Hello!
One of the most important updates for Magnecube has arrived. We have focused on polishing the user experience and giving you better tools to navigate the levels created by the community. Here are the details!
Community levels rework
Exploring other players' content is now easier than ever.
Advanced filters: Find exactly the type of challenge you are looking for.
Detailed statistics: Now you can see complexity metrics for each level.
Record tracking: Quickly visualize if you already have the records for the level or if someone has surpassed you.
Interface and navigation
We have redesigned a large part of the menus so that the experience is more fluid and we have expanded keyboard and gamepad support. You can now navigate most of the menus without needing to use the mouse (we are still working to bring this soon to the level editor and the Steam inventory!).
Gameplay adjustments and corrections
Restart effects: Now, restarting a level feels much more satisfying thanks to the new incorporated visual effects.
Time management: The timer is now fairer; it will not start until you perform your first move. In addition, we have corrected the visual bug that showed 1000ms when it should be 999ms.
Camera correction: The "lost button" is over. After publishing a large level, the back to menu button will always appear, no matter where the camera is.
Ultrawide support: Corrected the centering error in the language selection for wide screens.
Memory and audio optimization: We have performed a review of the sound system to correct inefficient loads. The result is a drastic reduction in RAM memory consumption, which guarantees a much more stable and fluid performance, especially in long gaming sessions.
New native multiplatform keyboard: Say goodbye to uncomfortable text entries! We have added our own keyboard designed to adapt to any peripheral. Whether you use a keyboard, gamepad or touch screens, entering text is now fast, intuitive and visually integrated with the game's aesthetic.
