In Rest Area Simulator, you can now earn money not only through honest management, but also through risky yet lucrative methods.
These mechanics offer short-term financial benefits, but getting caught may result in long-term losses.
Here’s an overview of how the Illicit Profit System works:
⛽ Overfilling Fuel Sales
You can now give customers slightly more fuel than they requested, charging them extra in return.
This only works if the customer can afford the extra amount.
If unnoticed, it grants a quick profit.
If detected, your reliability and reputation decrease.
Quick profit comes at the cost of long-term trust.
🛒 Extra Market Charges
In the market, customers may unknowingly pay more than the actual total of their purchases.
The overcharge succeeds if the customer’s balance allows it.
If unnoticed, it brings additional income; if noticed, trust and reputation are affected.
Every customer reacts differently — some won’t notice, others will catch it immediately.
💧 Adding Water to Fuel Tanks
By mixing water into your fuel tanks, you can make the total fuel supply appear higher, allowing more sales.
This method temporarily boosts your selling capacity.
If inspectors detect it, a financial penalty is applied.
It doesn’t directly affect your reputation or customer trust, but the fine will hurt your finances.
Be careful — inspectors can appear when you least expect it.
📋 Inspector Checks
Inspectors don’t just check for diluted fuel. They also review:
Your business’s cleanliness,
Employee age compliance,
And the overall order and management of your establishment.
Keeping just one area clean isn’t enough; inspectors evaluate your business as a whole.
🕵️ Inspector Visit Information
You can pay the Nervous Woman to find out whether the inspector will visit that day.
Her information isn’t guaranteed, but most of the time she’s right.
Sometimes her tip saves you from heavy fines — sometimes it doesn’t.
It’s a gamble, but being partially informed is better than being caught off guard.
🎯 Overview
The Illicit Profit System separates honest managers from risk-takers chasing fast profits.
Every decision has a cost — sometimes it’s money, sometimes it’s your reputation.
The choice is yours.
