A new Gothic Hell: Survivors demo update is live.
This update focuses mostly on performance, stability, and gameplay fixes based on player feedback.
One important change: on the first launch (or after a new version) the game now precompiles all shaders, which should eliminate most runtime stuttering.
We also added crash reporting via Sentry (only with player consent) and a Report an Issue form in the menu so problems can be tracked and fixed faster.
Gameplay changes:
Player can now die up to 3 times before the demo ends
Added a few new type of spells
Harder to get Legendary upgrades
Added DOM sky
Enemies now spawn farther away from the player
Boss regeneration adjusted (each 1 second -> each 4 seconds)
Waves/Monsters/Boss gameplay and behavior fixes
Navigation improvements
A lot of small changes
Technical improvements and fixes:
Shader and material optimization
Texture fixes & optimization
Fog rendering fixed
DLSS and graphics menu fixes
General menu fixes and updates
Also, Gothic Hell: Survivors is participating in the Women’s Day Sale.
This game has been built by a two-person team—me and my wife—doing everything ourselves, so the support means a lot.
P.S. Demo playtime is still around 20 minutes. Our goal is to make it playable on most PCs for a better experience. After that, we will push all content updates to make it ready for big events like Steam Next Fest.
