This update addresses various confusing early-game details uncovered during the previous NGD Showcase, while polishing general gameplay experience.
Quality of Life Improvements:
- Improved operation experience: You may now play/swap cards with a single click. Both click and drag controls are supported; play whichever feels more comfortable!
- Enhanced visual effects for skill cards in combat: Skill cards will display clear visual cues when playable to assist player decision-making.
- Cards that cannot be played will darken visibly, making unplayable states more intuitive.
- Tweaked the End Turn button appearance: It shrinks when actions are available and becomes more prominent when no actions can be taken.
- Added a new setting [Quick Card Randomization] in game settings. When enabled, random card point rolls resolve instantly for players who prefer faster combat.
- Added text labels to distinguish between Hand Zone and Reserve Zone.
- Removed Talent Trinkets. Talent Trinkets will have their rarity adjusted and join the general trinket random pool.
- Added two new card removal options: You may now choose to destroy 1 card from your deck at combat rewards and Level 2 Goddess Spring.
- A tutorial popup will trigger on first play if players may miss rewards, explaining that [You may spend gold to swap your hand].
- The [Forced Stay] marker will show clearly on tiles you are about to enter.
- A tutorial popup will trigger upon first entering Camp, explaining [Hand swapping affects HP restoration amount]. Camp HP recovery text has also been revised to clarify its link to your hand.
- Buffed out-of-run trinket [Dream Essence Vial]. It now restores 1 charge after every combat.
- Optimized card display on the overworld: Card point values are enlarged for visibility, while card text is dimmed to indicate only point values take effect during overworld traversal.
- Removed some Chaos Tile random events with excessively harsh negative effects.
- Revised trinket [Bloodthirst Ring] description for readability.
- Added AP text label to the left of the AP gauge, with mouse hover tooltip to help players understand AP.
- Added star-shaped [Captain] markers for both sides’ captains during combat, paired with mouse hover tooltips.
- Added tooltip info for Enchant [Replay].
- Trimmed redundant state descriptions for conciseness.
- Slightly enlarged the UI element for card replay in the top-right corner.
- Scaled up numbers on talents and trinkets with progress/counter values for better visibility.
- Reworded ambiguous text on several cards and trinkets.
- Slightly buffed card [Cycle] to encourage picking it for swap-focused deck builds.
