As we move into the final weekend of our first playtest, it's clear the act 1 difficulty is still too high, so we're addressed it in two ways:
- Nerfing Act 1 Soldiers
- Reworking Upgrades (run meta progression) to much more significantly increase your power
Balance
• Act 1 boss HP reduced 25%
• Sniper turret damage 65 → 60
• Act 1 soldiers nerfed: less health, slower projectiles, slower fire rate, less damage (now 2-hit with starter weapon)
• Laser Mk 1 (starter weapon) is now automatic instead of semi-auto
• Stinger is now semi-auto instead of automatic
Upgrades Tree Rework
• Reworked the perk tree into three trees: Combat, Piloting, and Loadout, significantly increasing the power of each node
• The new Loadout tree allows you to permanently unlock a different starter weapon / ship in the hub store
General
• Moved bug report shortcut to F10
Bugs
• Fixed Act 1 boss sometimes spawning without his shield
• Fixed fuel delta not displaying on the end game screen when host had high latency
