Dear exorcists,
We have two main things to share in this update.
Ritus Exorcismus
First, we changed the name of the game to Ritus Exorcismus. We feel like this name is much more descriptive and gives a better first impression to players. It makes it clear that our game is first and foremost about exorcising demons.
Demo v0.5.8 is now live
As mentioned in our previous update, we changed how traveling works in the game. We removed the world map and now each village represents one chapter of the main story. This makes the game a bit more linear, but also allows us to focus on storytelling and making each encounter more unique.
In this new version you will also experience:
Bigger villages with more inhabitants.
Characters now have more animations and dialogue portraits.
More manifestations of evil. Cleansing a village will require more than just exorcisms.
A Journal to keep track of you tasks in each location.
Many new cutscenes.
Some books with lore, for those that want to know more about the world.
We're really excited about this update, we hope you enjoy it! It marks the completion of the core gameplay loop, and now we'll focus on polishing (a lot) and adding more content.
As always, wishlisting the game and leaving a review on the demo page help us a lot. Feel free to share any feedback/suggestions on Steam, social media or our Discord server.
Until next time,
Tusks And Talons
