Hi everyone!
After almost two years of development, HexCrawler finally has its Steam page, and I thought it was time to start sharing more of the development here.
HexCrawler is a traditional roguelike built around a few twists on the formula:
A hexagonal grid, with character orientation and positioning playing an important role in combat.
A party of three characters, each acting on their own timeline through a Time Unit system rather than fixed turns.
Deep character building inspired by games like Tales of Maj'Eyal and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.
Fully animated pixel-art characters, enemies and abilities.
The game is still actively in development, and I'm currently working toward a playable demo.
From now on, I'll also use these Steam updates to share new classes, mechanics, enemies, animations and other parts of the development process.
If you've already wishlisted or followed the game, thank you! Every bit of early support helps a lot.
More soon!
