Hello, dear Factoriees!
We were really happy to see the response to our latest announcement. Your support has given us even more motivation as we continue rebuilding Factory Planner from the ground up.
We’re now nearing the end of the process of rewriting and restructuring the old systems. Very soon, we’ll share a more detailed announcement showcasing some of the new features coming to the game. Shortly after that, we’ll be launching a playtest for the new version.
We’ll need your feedback and support during the playtest to help us shape the next version of Factory Planner.
Thank you for sticking with us and for your patience throughout this process. We’ll have much more to share very soon!
Tech Tree Changes & Improvements
Updated the Cotton Plant, Thera Plant, and Wheat Plant recipes in the Greenhouse Card.
Added alternative recipes for Electrolyte and Bronze Case.
Fixed the Electrolyte tooltip in the Mixing Card, which incorrectly displayed “Tech Tree: Catalysation.”
Fixed the Canister tooltip in the Pumping, which incorrectly displayed “Tech Tree: Liquid Organisation.”
Added an alternative recipe for Dough.
Moved Medical from Tech Age 10 to Tech Age 11.
Improved Tech Tree navigation:
The Hub axis remains fixed horizontally while moving or zooming in the Tech Tree.
The Category names axis remains fixed vertically.
This works similarly to frozen rows and columns in Excel, keeping important labels visible while navigating.
Added Indicators to Tech Tree Nodes:
When completing a Hub task or gaining Tech Tree Points unlocks a new Tech Tree Node, an indicator now appears on the Tech Tree button.
The corresponding unlockable Tech Tree Nodes also display an indicator.
Copper Case was not previously used as a production material. With the addition of the alternative Bronze Case recipe, Copper Case is now used in production.
Fixed a bug where the Sludge Energy recipe in the Oil Generator was always locked.
Improved Material Tooltips:
Tooltips now show not only which machines consume a material, but also which recipes within those machines use the material.
Please note that all visuals we’ve shared so far are placeholders. They will be revised and updated alongside the playtest
