You might have seen something about this on X or Bluesky, or the other SoMe we post tidbits to, but we wanted to let you folks know here on Steam too: We have added support for ingame familiars! Right now we have added a badger you can pick up and pet!
When the familiar is freed from its cage you can pick up and pet it. That puts the familiar into your inventory, where it will wait patiently until you needs its assistance.
If you summon your familiar from the inventory, it will help you fight other monsters, and will automatically pick up potions for you. It will be on a timer, and when that timer runs out it will disappear. Right now we are showing the death animation when the badger disappears, and that makes us pretty sad, so we will change it.
When the familiar disappears it is gone, so you can only summon it once. Luckily you will be able to find multiple familiars in the dungeon. For now we have a cute little badger.😊
NB! This feature is not in the demo, and will most likely not be added to the demo before release, as we are working hard to get the game ready for the September 10th release date!
