Hello heroes, villains and others!
Thank you so much for the warm reception to Heroes Against Time!!😊
Your kind words in the Steam reviews and Discord really mean the world to me 💖
I wanted to write an update to share my future plans for the game + a secret code for a new Halloween themed palette at the end too! (feel free to skip there if you wish!)
Big Update Plans
Heroes Against Time was always intended to be fully released as a complete game, so I don't plan to release constant updates with new content for the game.
And while there are some minor issues, like balancing which could be tuned a tad bit better for example, I'm still really happy with the state of the game overall.
That being said, I did add a bunch of small quality of life updates and fixes these last few weeks;
And.. I do want to make a big update with some final additions and improvements.
Here are my plans!
What will the big update contain?
- At least two more things to buy in shops
- A handful of new event options
- Removing two relics and adding four new relics (Enchanted Lance and Sapling)
In addition to these, there are some things I'd like to add but I'm not entirely sure if I'd be able to...!
Stuff I might add:
- Modding system to let you create your own sets
- Steam workshop support
- More palette challenges
- New mechanics
- An extra map where all sets can be encountered
- Multiple save slots
- Character rebalancing
- Minor visual improvements
In addition to that, I'm always open to small improvements and quality of life additions. I released an update with some small improvements yesterday, and I might do a few more similar updates in the future.

While I say the game is done, it would be cool to create a sequel to it sometime!
If you want to get notified if / when a sequel drops, you can follow me on Steam.
Also, if you enjoyed Heroes Against Time, please leave a kind review on Steam!! It helps a lot.
New Palette
spooky
Write the code above in the palette screen and hit "enter" to unlock it!
I thought I'd add an alternate version of the "Early Dawn" palette as a fun little bonus for Halloween 🎃 🦇 this one has ghastly greens and bone whites to keep things a bit more varied and fun.
The End?
That's all for this update, thank you for reading and see you next time!! 😊
