Hello hate.netters!
(haters? not sure what way I would address you all, let me know if you really love/hate this nickname)... I hope you've been having fun playing my game so far.
The Update:
Endless mode! Some of you had a really quick time with the regular game, so here's a mode for all of you that like to put a podcast on in the background and tune out...
Tutorial Level! I want to properly introduce players to the base mechanics, since some feedback showed that I didn't communicate it properly (that's on me! sorry!)
Bug and exploit fixes! I can't promise I got all of them, but always be sure to let me know! Here's the current list of fixes:
Kill floor no longer carries into a restart if the player dies right before it begins to rise;
High ground exploits should now be a little more curbed, as the upper layer of the level syncs up for when the kill floor begins to rise;
Moderator enemies now spawn in a less predictable way;
Blocking right after firing an explosion now no longer cancels out the block after cooldown;
Settings should be properly fixed and working, including mouse sensitivity and post-processing on/off stuff. If they don't... well, I'll fix it again
I hope you have fun playing! As always, let me know in the Steam discussion boards if something is broken or doesn't work the way your expected!
On other topics...
I launched a bonitāka discord server! <----- server invite here, for if you want to chat and hang out or just follow along my works :)
Once again, this update does not mark the end of the game's support. I plan on continuing work on it, polishing and adding new things, while still keeping it a short and sweet experience... just not 20 minutes short...
I feel like incremental updates is the way to go here. Let me know what you think though! If you'd rather one or two large updates over this game's lifespan versus multiple comparatively smaller updates, I will adjust my workflow for that.
At the moment, I am finishing up work for my university deadlines, so I've been keeping busy on top of hate.net. ːespressoː
