Greetings, Legends!
Every duel, every clutch revive, every high-pressure elimination, and every perfectly executed utility play in Legend Battles contributes to something bigger than a single match. Beyond survival and victory, we’ve built a robust performance-tracking system that celebrates how you play—not just whether you win.
Today we’re giving you the ultimate deep dive into two interconnected systems designed to elevate your identity as a player:
The Battle Medals System
The Steam Achievements System
Together, these systems transform your gameplay into a persistent legacy that follows you across Aurora, Bellona — and onto your Steam Profile for the world to see.
Let’s explore how it all works.
1. The Medals System – Real-Time Recognition of Your Skill
Battle Medals are dynamic, match-based commendations. They reward your split-second reactions, tactical decisions, and mechanical mastery.
They are designed to:
Flash instantly on your HUD, giving you immediate recognition for your actions
Feed into your Combat Profile, where your long-term identity is shaped
Reward XP toward Battle Pass, Operator Rank, and Weapon Mastery
Define your end-of-match accolades, highlighting your role on the squad
A skilled player can earn anywhere from a handful to dozens of medals per match. If you’re versatile, tactical, or simply lethal — expect your screen to light up often.
2. What Are Battle Medals? Your Full, Expanded Breakdown
Battle Medals cover every playstyle in Legend Battles. Whether you’re an aggressive fragger, a smart tactician, or a guardian angel for your squad, there’s a medal waiting for you.
Here’s a deeper look:
✔ Eliminations & Offensive Mastery
For players who thrive under pressure.
Examples:
Monster Kills — Eliminate multiple enemies in rapid succession
Butcher — Continue a multi-kill streak beyond a Triple Kill
Hero — Take out the final members of an enemy squad
Urban Warfare Expert — Dominate at melee or short-range engagements
These medals reward aggressive, high-skill firefights and excellent weapon control.
✔ Accuracy & Precision
For the sharpshooters and marksmen.
Examples:
Headshot Killer
Champion Sniper — Secure an elimination over a defined long distance
Deadeye shot — Kill a fully armored enemy with a single decisive shot
Precision attacker — Land critical hits that break armor or expose vulnerabilities
You’ll rack these up if precision and patience define your playstyle.
✔ Utility, Equipment & Squad Support
For strategic players who create opportunities for others.
Examples:
Stun Assist — An enemy dies while under the effect of your flash or stun
Counter — Destroying enemy equipment or traps (turrets, mines, etc.)
Spotting — Successfully marking a critical enemy asset
Zoner — Securing areas by forcing enemy displacement
These medals highlight players who think ahead and elevate their squad.
✔ Survival, Revivals & Support Under Fire
For heroes who perform when everything is falling apart.
Examples:
Hero Revive — Revive a teammate under direct enemy threat
Justice Kill — Kill the enemy who downed your ally
Barely Alive — Escape combat with extremely low health
Sentinel — Cover a teammate during a healing or armor animation
These medals celebrate teamwork, resilience, and clutch decision-making.
3. Deep Dive: How Complex Medals Are Earned
Some medals are straightforward — others demonstrate elite mastery. Here are the deeper mechanics behind our most coveted medals:
Butcher
Earned when:
You achieve a Triple Kill
Then extend the streak for one or more eliminations
Without significant downtime between kills
This requires map awareness, pace control, and near-perfect accuracy.
Closer
Awarded when:
You are the final surviving member of your squad
And you eliminate the final member(s) of the enemy team
This is the medal of pure nerve and confidence.
Clutch Revive
To qualify, your revive must:
Complete while you or your teammate are taking enemy fire, OR
Complete within 5 seconds of breaking line-of-sight with an enemy
It’s not just a revive. It’s a rescue under pressure.
4. Your Combat Record – The Story of Your Evolution
Your Combat Record is the central hub of your Legend Battles identity.
It tracks:
Your medal distribution (what you’re good at)
Your tactical tendencies (long-range, CQC, utility-heavy, stealth, mobility-focused)
Your role habits (Medic, Recon, Slayer, Support, Scout, Anchor)
Your match impact beyond kills
This profile grows with you. No two Combat Records look the same — and that’s the point.
Your Combat Record is not a scoreboard.
It’s your fingerprint.
5. Post-Game Accolades – Celebrate Your Moment of Greatness
When the match ends — especially after a victory — the system highlights your standout contributions.
You may be recognized as:
THE HUNTER
Silent, deadly, efficient — rewarded for stealth and suppression medals.
THE DOCTOR
The backbone of your squad — high Savior and revive counts.
THE SNIPER
Master of the long-range domain — exceptional Headshot and Far shot counts.
THE ARMOURER
The glue that keeps your squad alive — supplying plates, utility, and equipment.
These accolades aren’t just cosmetic.
They reinforce the idea that everyone contributes in a different way.
6. Steam Achievement Integration — Where Legends Are Immortalized
While medals are temporary match-based rewards, Steam Achievements are forever.
They capture:
Long-term dedication
Tactical creativity
Mechanical mastery
Exploration
Rare feats
Your achievements become part of your permanent Steam history.
The Synergy: How Medals Feed Steam Achievements
Many achievements progress naturally through medals:
Medals → XP → Unlocks → Achievement Progress
Achievement Categories & Examples:
Grind Mastery Achievements
Require hundreds or thousands of specific medals.
Example:
“The Thousand-Sniper Shots”
→ Earn 1,000 far shot medals.
Single-Match Skill Achievements
Require rare or difficult sequences.
Example:
“Terminator”
→ Earn a Butcher using three different weapons in a single match.
Secret & Hidden Achievements
Tied to map secrets or unusual tactical feats.
Example:
“Bloody Hell”
→ Destroy a helicopter with a frag grenade.
Expect more secrets to be hidden across Aurora and Bellona.
7. The Kill Feed – Real-Time Achievement Progress Signals
Each special icon in the kill feed reflects:
What action was taken
What medal may trigger
What achievement you may have progressed
Icons such as:
Headshot
Grenade Kill
Knife Kill
Hero Assist
Vehicle Explosion
…aren’t just decorative.
They’re informational.
If you see a rare icon appear, you’ve likely moved closer to unlocking a Steam Achievement.
8. Steam Profile Integration – Show the World Your Mastery
Legend Battles achievements sync directly into the Steam ecosystem.
You can:
Display your best achievements in your Steam Showcase
Compare completion progress with friends
Track the global rarity of your hardest-earned medals
Increase your overall Steam Completion Rate
Build a visible personal legacy as a top-tier competitor
Every round you play matters — even the ones you lose.
9. Final Thoughts – Become a Legend Worth Remembering
Medals capture your brilliance in the moment.
Achievements capture your mastery across your entire career.
Together, they form a complete picture of your evolution as a Legend.
Play boldly. Experiment often. Switch weapons. Support your squad.
And chase those rare medals — the Steam Achievements will follow naturally.
What rare medal will you hunt for first?
