Dear Legends,
Your complete guide to buying, selling, and trading skins in Legend Battles
The world of Legend Battles will be one of the most active and valuable cosmetic economies in gaming—and at the center of it all is the Steam Community Market. This is Valve’s official, secure platform where millions of players can buy, sell, and trade LEGEND BATTLES items every day. From rare knives to high-tier gloves to the newest case drops, the Market is the smartest place to take control of your inventory, earn Wallet funds, and shape your style on the battlefield.
Whether you're collecting, investing, flipping, or just searching for that perfect skin, this guide gives you the full breakdown on how the Market works and how to use it safely and effectively.
How It Works: A Player-Driven Economy
Buying
On the Steam Market, you can purchase:
Metahuman, clothing and gear skins
Weapon and vehicle skins
Emotes, spray tags and weapon charms
Two ways to buy:
1. Buy at the Listed Price
Select a seller’s listing and purchase instantly using your Steam Wallet funds.
2. Place a Buy Order (For Commodity Items)
For high-volume items like cases, stickers, or cheap skins, you can set the maximum price you’re willing to pay, and Steam automatically matches your offer when a seller lists at that price.
This is ideal for patient buyers or traders operating at scale.
Selling
Any Legend Battles item you own can be listed directly from your Steam Inventory:
1. Choose the item → Sell
2. Set your price
3. Confirm via Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator
4. Once purchased, you instantly receive Steam Wallet funds
(minus the marketplace fee)
You can then spend these funds on:
More Legend Battles skins
Other game items
Games and DLCs
Software on Steam
Steam Wallet funds cannot be withdrawn as cash, but they are extremely flexible within the Steam ecosystem.
Trading (Outside the Market)
While the Market handles buy/sell transactions, Steam also includes secure trade offers:
Trade items directly with friends
Swap skins with verified traders
Participate in community trading servers or forums
All trades use Valve’s official Trade Offer system backed by Steam Guard.
Safety First: Why the Market Is the Most Secure Option
The Steam Community Market is protected by:
Steam Guard 2FA
Built-in purchase confirmations
No middlemen or third-party exposure
Instant, permanent transaction logs
Automatic fraud prevention
Because transactions never leave the Steam ecosystem, this is the safest possible way to handle your LEGEND BATTLES items without risk of scams, impersonators, or compromised trade bots.
Understanding the Fees
Every time you sell something, Steam automatically takes:
5% – Steam fee
10% – Legend Battles fee Total: 15% fee per sale
This is why:
Sale prices are slightly lower for sellers
Buying prices are slightly higher for buyers
Third-party markets often appear cheaper (but riskier!)
These fees fund the Steam platform and Legend Battles’ ongoing development.
Before You Start: Requirements for Using the Market
To unlock all Market features, your Steam account must meet Valve’s security standards:
1. Steam Guard Enabled for 15 Days
You must have 2-Factor Authentication active for at least two weeks.
2. A Completed Purchase on Your Account
You must have made at least one successful purchase
(Steam Wallet funds, a game, or DLC)
Older than 7 days but less than 1 year.
These rules help prevent fraud and protect legitimate players.
Tips for Smart Market Use
Here are some pro strategies to get the most out of the Market:
Use Buy Orders to get the lowest possible prices on commodity items
Check price history charts to avoid overpaying during hype spikes
Sell during Prime Time (nights/weekends) when demand is highest
Avoid quick-selling valuable skins—research first
Watch case trends: some surge in value months after release
A little patience can mean huge savings or bigger profits.
Take Control of Your Legend Battles Style
Whether you're aiming for a dream knife, flipping cases for profit, or simply exploring the vast cosmetic economy, the Steam Community Market gives you full control over your Legend Battles inventory.
