yoo
couple of things for yall today, including some blasting
Given that 1.0 will be going live October 19th, I am holding back some of the new content to make 1.0 extra juicy. You may have noticed there has not been as much new content recently because of this. I will continue pushing changes and bug fixes throughout the next 30 days, but do keep in mind it will be a little light on new content until 1.0
Additions / Changes
New weapon: The Musket
The musket will be fully implemented with the upcoming 1.0 update for Gone Fishing but I wanted to drop a lil teaser for yall
As of now it is more of an easter egg with a <1% drop rate from skeeter, sort of like opening a gold from a csgo case (GOLD GOLD GOLD). If this reference doesn’t make sense to you just look up “Ohne Pixel titan holo”
As of now, there are a couple of spawns on each map where the musket can be found. Since these are map spawns, starting a new game is required for the muskets to spawn
The musket only has one shot before it is destroyed so make it count. Most creatures die in one shot
You can shoot tnt with the musket to blow it up
New baits:
Large Crab and Mutated Crab ragdolls
Naked man ragdoll
Terrorist (the lil guy who eats fish) ragdoll
Jumping fish ragdoll (the guy who you can catch and he jumps on your face)
Impaler Ragdoll
New feature: Light tnt on drop
You can now hold down your drop button (q) to automatically light the tnt when u drop it
Other Changes
TNT (and the musket) can now kill every creature in the game (except the cat and dog), by virtue of you killing something, it also becomes bait
Skeeter will now spawn on the first day of loading a save
Updated all language translations. Finished adding Italian and Polish as well as they had not been updated since 2025
Fixed a bug where the boat could go flying (up or down) due to various edge cases. The boat will no longer go flying no matter what
Fixed a bug where on the second time the boat was sunk via squid attack, it would not automatically reset the following day.
Fixed a bug where after the boat has sunk once, it would no longer auto eject you and would allow you to drive it while it is sinking and underwater
FIxed a bug where minnow traps would do ANYTHING in their power to attach to boats
Fixed an exploit where users could sit in the cabin all night collecting gold from the midas touch perk and gilded flow totem
Fixed several locations where you could “fall through the water” on the canyon map
thank you for playing GONE Fishing
love you long time
