🐄 NEW: Live Bait
Ore isn't the only thing that lures monsters anymore. Five new living baits have arrived: Cow, Sheep, Hermit Crab, Snail and Toad.
They're alive. Hold one and it waits quietly in your hand. Put it down and it wanders off. Pick it back up with E.
Launch one with the Grapple Gun and it lands on its own feet. Reel in, and it follows the rope.
Reeling a live bait back costs you nothing. You only lose it if something catches it.
Each one makes its own sound when launched. You'll hear it fly.
They can get hurt. Watch your fire.

🐺 NEW: Seven Predators
Live bait draws a different kind of hunter. Seven new creatures now sit at the top of the food chain, and each bait only calls certain ones. Which ones? Find out.
One never hunts alone.
One leaps at you from further away than you'd think.
One has learned to dodge bullets.
One is built like a wall. Another carries its armor on its back... and is worth every bullet.
The other two, you can meet yourself.
Shoot one and don't expect it to run straight into your sights. They break to the side and come right back for you. Like bait zombies, they can be dragged to the grinder and sold.
🚚 NEW: The Anomaly Truck
You won't find live bait lying around. It gets delivered.
A rare new ore is hidden somewhere in the dungeon. It always shows up on the first level. Deeper down, you'll need some luck.
Mine it. Throw what's inside with the Grapple Gun. Then listen for the horn.
The truck stays for 3 minutes. Look at a cage to see what's inside and what it costs. Payment comes from the crew's money and the bait goes straight into your hands.
Stock is different every visit.
It doesn't deliver everywhere, and never to the lobby.
Don't be in the back when the timer hits zero. The driver doesn't take passengers.
💣 Messier Mines
Zombies that step on a mine no longer just vanish. They come apart: the head bursts and limbs fly off, and every player sees the same limbs torn away.
One hand or foot always stays attached, so you can still grab the corpse and sell it at the grinder for its full value.
Some things are too tough to come apart. They still fly. They still sell.
☎️ Phone Revive Is Back
Pressing C while dead had stopped placing the call. It works again: press C and a phone somewhere on the map starts ringing. If a living teammate answers, you come back... a little greener.
If nobody picks up in time, something else answers. And now it shows up right next to the phone.
⚙️ Stability & Performance
Random crashes: We tracked down a major cause of the sudden crashes where the game froze and closed, often with a "GPU device removed" error. The game now runs on DirectX 11 by default. In our tests, sessions that used to crash around the 12-minute mark ran for over half an hour without a single crash.
New FPS settings: The game kept your CPU and GPU at full load all the time, even in the main menu. That means extra heat and sudden power spikes. The default frame cap is now 60 FPS, with 30 / 60 / 120 to choose from. Everyone's setting is reset to 60 once with this update. If your PC can handle it, switch back to 120 anytime. VSync is still available.
No more freeze on descent: The ~3 second freeze when heading down to a new level is gone. The level now finishes preparing in the background.
Fewer audio stutters: Fixed short hitches when entering rooms or new sound areas. Music and ambience now stream from disk instead of loading fully into memory, for lower RAM use and quicker loading.
Voice chat delay: After hitches or level transitions, voice could fall several seconds behind and never catch up. It now catches up on its own. Right after a hitch you might hear one tiny skip; that's the catch-up.
Fixed a hidden error flood while playing as the Frog that could cause stutters over time.
🔫 Turret Fixes
You no longer get stuck in the running animation while on the turret. Other players used to see you running in place.
Firing the turret no longer also fires the weapon in your hands, throws a slap, or swings your axe or grapple.
Reloading and the weapon light are disabled while you're on the turret.
Holding fire while getting off the turret no longer keeps your gun shooting.
🛠️ Other Fixes
Placing a mine no longer throws a slap at the same time.
Dead players spectating a teammate can now hear their gunshots, impacts and melee hits, no matter how far away their own body is.
Mine-blasted corpses now come to rest in the same spot for every player.
