Greetings, adventurers! ːsteamhappyː This is an IMPORTANT and EXCITING release!
I’ve finally recovered enough to program and design again. Even though I still don’t have as many hours as before, I’ve been very efficient. I’m genuinely thrilled about this update!
Without extending myself, here’s the best part:
Combat improvements: two new actions. They are block (“parry”) and charge. These actions make combat more strategic and also more lethal if used well.
The old defense action becomes parry. The defense action now gives up attacking but makes you defend better. It can help you expose yourself less against an enemy that only Sioul’s magic can defeat.
Better information: the combat log now shows a shorter but deeper description of what happens. You’ll see roll scores, what each contender does, and the damage inflicted.
Regarding the new actions:
Parry means giving up attacking this turn, but gaining an attack bonus on the next one. Good for attacking fewer times but with more power.
Charge means giving up defending yourself (if the enemy survives, they will always hit you) this turn, but gaining a bonus to both attack and damage in this same turn.
There are visual and usability improvements:
The red and blue potions blink when health or mana are low.
You can see the weapon you’re wielding in the attack icon, so you don’t need to open the backpack to check.
The combat log shows icons that make it clearer and nicer. Colors are unified.
Weapon and spell damage appears over the portraits with a fade-and-move effect.
Fumble or critical results and how they affect the turn also appear in the log.
When you have the attack and damage bonus after a parry, the attack icon blinks red.
The weapon and armor icons you have equipped appear in the weapons window, instead of a generic image.
With all this, combat is now more exciting. An experienced player can gain advantage from using these new actions well. And everyone can better understand what’s happening in battle. By seeing the numerical rolls, you can tell how powerful your character and your opponent are.

COMPLETE CHANGELOG
----------------------------
Version 2.3, July 25, 2026 - Fortune favors the bold
--------------------------------------------------------
NEW STRATEGICAL ACTIONS IN COMBAT:
- New combat action: charge. You get hit always, althoug your armor still work. But you receive a bonus both on attack and damage. Desperate attack or final blow at all costs
- New combat action: parry. You get a bonus on defense (lesser than in defense mode), and a bonus on the next attack. Useful for attacking a dangerous foe, with a delayed yet more powerful hit.
OLD DEFENSE ACTION MODIFIED:
- Defense combat action: you get a bigger bonus to defense but you don't attack this turn. Useful to protect the team while the wizard attacks.
COMBAT LOG:
- Improvement in the report of what is happening
- Graphical icons for better understanding and eye candy on log.
- Unified colors: Tamzyn is yellow, foe is gray, failure is red, warnings are purple, initiative and other infos are green.
COMBAT INTERFACE:
- Red potion (recover life using mana) and Blue potion (recover mana using life) blink in color when life or mana are low, so you notice and remember to use these butons if you find it useful.
- Attack button blinks in orange-red when in boost mode after defending.
- Life and mana bar also blink in the same circumstances.
- Icon for attack in combat now displays the weapon you are using. This way you know in every moment what weapon are you using without opening the inventory.
- Icons for weapon and armor are displayed when you open the equipped arms window.
- Floating fading numbers show how much damage you received and did over the foe or nymph's picture
OTHER:
- Fixed. Monsters were not using the frequency for special powers. They were using the frequency for attacks, that is different.
- Fixes in texts and some image defects.
- Fear the dragons: there was a bug and your armor was stopping the fire. Now it's not there, so be careful.
