🔹 Full release on hold until we can make it truly fun and polished
Hello everyone,
Moonlit Reaper is currently nearing completion in terms of development. However, after repeatedly playing the latest builds, we realized that the game still does not deliver the level of fun and overall quality we originally aimed for. In its current state, we do not feel confident calling this the RPG we truly want to recommend to you.
For quite some time, we have been torn between two options: releasing the game in its current state, or waiting until we have grown further as developers and can refine it into something we are truly proud of.
In the end, we chose the latter. We have decided to postpone the full release of Moonlit Reaper until we can deliver the kind of fun and quality we originally envisioned.
Moonlit Reaper is still a project we deeply care about. We do not see it as a one-off title, but as the starting point of a world we hope to expand with future entries and spin-off games. Because of that, we do not want to launch the very first game in this series in a state we are not proud of and risk disappointing those who were interested.
For now, we will focus our time and energy on a new game that we believe we can execute much better with our current experience and resources. That said, Moonlit Reaper is not being abandoned forever. When we have grown enough to do it justice, we want to bring it back as the fun, polished game we originally imagined.
Thank you sincerely to everyone who has supported us and looked forward to this game. We are sorry that we cannot deliver the promised experience right now, but we hope we can meet again in the future with a much stronger version of Moonlit Reaper.
