The Little Crossroads "Little Playtest" is Officially LIVE!
(Check out our new artwork by the very talented Jordane Schultz!)
We are so incredibly excited to welcome you to the first public playtest of Little Crossroads!
We have been pouring our hearts into building this cozy world, and having you all jump in to explore it means so much to us. 🥲
The Playtest is expected to run through the Prismatic Indie Showcase, ending on September 11th at the absolute earliest.
How to play:
Go to our Store Page: Little Crossroads on Steam
Click the Request Access button. You will automatically get access to the playtest!
A special thanks to the Prismatic Indie Showcase for spotlighting our game. Check out other great games without publishers on the event page!
What to Expect in This Build
You are joining us for what we are calling the "Alpha" stage. For this playtest, our main focus is testing the core Peer-to-Peer multiplayer infrastructure and early gameplay systems.
Right now, you can dive into the early game of ⛏️Mining and 🦋Bug Catching, along with early support for 🪓Woodcutting, 🎣Fishing, and a handful of introductory quests.
We hope you'll enjoy meeting Freya, Cole, and June, as you discover this new world and start to earn fantastic abilities. With their help, you'll be diving the ocean depths and soaring through the skies in no time!
While the game is fully playable solo, we're proud of our frictionless Multiplayer. Complete quests and share the Inn with whoever you want, whenever you want.
Because this is a true Alpha build, you are exploring an active construction zone. You will definitely encounter bugs, missing features, and placeholder artwork.
Platform, Language Support & Online Info
Platforms: Windows/PC only, on Steam
Languages: English only
Internet connection is required, but multiplayer is NOT required. Note: we plan on making our game NOT require internet connection in the future for solo play! That feature won't be ready in time for the playtest, however.
We are so sorry if the above excludes you from the first playtest... We absolutely plan to support more platforms and language options in the future!
Important Note on Save Data
Please be aware that saved progress will NOT carry over into future playtests, Early Access, or the full game release. We will need to wipe server and character data regularly as we continue to build and update the game's core architecture.
